Fireplace, king bed, hot tub, Pet OK. Experience a private and peaceful getaway for four! Offering luxury and comfort in a forest surrounding, HERE is where memories are made! Whether you are staying to relax and rejuvenate, to enjoy some good laughs with a friend, or to romance a loved one, the Serenity Cabin has a little something for everyone. Located in the beautiful municipality of Metchosin, the Serenity Cabin is central to various hiking trails, sandy beaches, an abundance of nature appreciation, and borders Matheson Lake Park. Drive or walk down to the lake to enjoy the spectacular scenery. As well as hiking, biking, trout fishing, canoeing/kayaking, and swimming. If you are looking to dine out MyChosen Café and MyChosen Pizza are only minutes away. Just around the corner is Pedder Bay Marina, known for its world class fishing grounds. Enjoy a Starbucks coffee, alcoholic beverage and a bite to eat while watching the boats go by. Also offering power boat rentals, kayaking, and fishing charters if you're looking to spend time out on ocean. The interior has that rustic West Coast feel with lots of wood features and accents. Accommodates four comfortably, with an open concept living area with pullout sectional couch and large bedroom with a king size bed. The space is completely furnished, has a fully equipped kitchen, full bath, and wood burning fireplace. Head outdoors where you will find the patio area, offering a private hot tub and outdoor shower, fire pit, seating area and BBQ. The cell service is a little hit and miss but there is WIFI for you to link to. There is parking for multiple vehicles or trailer. We do allow smoking outdoors but have strict rules. There is no cable TV but there is a streaming device and movies. During the hotter months campfires are not allowed. A propane fire pit is provided but unfortunately the propane is not. We do provide a tank but it would be up to the guest to have it exchanged for a full one at our local corner store. We are pet friendly but ask that you respect our rules. There is an extra fee of $30/pet, \*\*\*please add this fee when booking. All pets have to be kept in close proximity (not free to roam) or on leash when outside. We ask that you use the shovel provided to flick into the bushes. We really dislike having to handle left behind bagged dog poop. \*\*IMPORTANT- We ask all guests to ensure that they have trip cancellation and extended health coverage at the time of booking. Refund requests outside our cancellation policy for personal health reasons and unexpected weather events (that may cause road closures or other delays) such as: snow storms, flooding, forest fires, power outages, ferry cancellations, etc. will not be given. My partner and I spent two wonderful nights here and wish we could’ve stayed longer! The cabin was cozy, very well appointed, there was firewood ready for a rainy night of staying indoors. The bed was comfy and the sheets were ultra soft. The entire cabin was spotless and the hot tub was a nice way to start and end the day…even in the rain! If you want an excellent getaway this is the place. Pack your swimsuit, some cozy clothes, some food and the rest is taken care of! ##### Jeffery N. Loved the privacy and cleanliness of the guesthouse! There were lots of nice touches and everything was very comfortable. We loved the hot tub and the wood stove, especially to warm up on chilly nights! It was nicely located, lots to do nearby in terms of nature and a cute little restaurant! Most times you could hear nothing but the sound of wind in the trees. The hot tub was used a lot! Clear instructions for everything. Very comfy king bed and kitchen was well stocked with basics. They supplied things most wouldn't think to bring with them! And what they may not have can be found at the general store in town which is basically like a small town Walmart. They also have things you'd never think of but would be glad they have! Hot tub was great, loved the fire pit, the home layout was great... I wish it was my home! It is a beautiful spot with wonderful privacy. The neighbors are far enough away that they stay out of site. The outside area is set up for a campfire and a hot tub. The location is far enough for a beautiful area and close enough to the area you don't have to drive far to get to anything. We happened to go during the coldest time, so we didnt get to enjoy the fire or hot tub outside. At 15 degrees F, we are wimps. The cabin is a quaint 1 bedroom home with a full kitchen. Great if you want to cook, in which my wife loves cooking. The living room is large and cozy with plenty of space. Overall, the cabin is cute and cozy. I do have to warn that the floor is hardwood and really cold in the winter. Bring warm socks. The heat takes time to warm the house, but does great in keeping it warm. She does have 2 tv's, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Easy set up and easy to use. Only complaint is that the tv's are small. But if thats all there is, we could live with that. The cabin was very clean when we arived. No pet hair, no dust, dishes and bedsheets definitely clean. Bathroom was also very clean. One of the best things about this rental was the communication. Our host was very accomodating and answered any inquiry very quickly. There were never any problems if we had questions. She also gave us a couple places to visit that we took advantage of. Very private, with its own parking, outdoor area with fire pit, BBQ and hot tub! Really good location for exploring Sooke, Metchosin, and the surrounding area.
