It was decent enough. I liked the timber panel ceiling in my room, which was a nice touch. There needed to be clearer indication, upon booking, as to where to get the access key.

We had issue of booking overlap, so did not get the room we booked. Don't know how that happened.
We got the lower room instead. Staff at reception was cooperative and accommodate to lower room with different rate of $120.
Initially very upset but later on ok stay.
Would request to Expedia and motel to ensure such thing should not happen as it can ruin someone's holidays

It was run down, the pool was just rubble in a puddle with security tape around it. The curtains didn’t fully close. The place was dingy and a bit dirty but not filthy. The TV wouldn’t turn off unless you unplugged it. One of the power points between the beds was faulty and dangerous. The smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night and we had to remove it from the wall and take out the battery. Beds were ok but soft and a bit uncomfortable although not impossible to sleep on. I mean it was cheap - $260 for two people for test nights - so I suppose we got what we paid for. On a positive note it was a good location for our needs.
Arrival at this property is rather confusing as it is linked to the neighbouring motel where the reception is, so you think you've arrived but you haven't. You need to traverse a slopping bank through a broken fence. There are also a few units in unsigned areas. Luckily, we arrived in daylight and were able to orientate ourselves from the receptionist's vague instructions: 'down on the left in the corner' which was really not helpful. She might have come out from behind her desk and from the driveway pointed to the unit.
Once located, the unit was an old fashioned brick wall type unit with a bar fridge behind the entrance door which stopped the door from opening fully so that it kept slamming shut as we unloaded our belongings. The television was small and only free to air.
What we did love was that the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It had a nice view over the town and good blockout curtains. The little kitchen was well equipped with clean utensils, crockery, toaster, kettle and microwave with real milk in the fridge.
The best thing for us, who were travelling with an old dog, was having a back door opening onto a grassed area. It was so easy for our dog to toilet.

Room 7.
THE GOOD.
The Air Con was very efficient.
The bed was comfortable.
The shower maintained good water flow and a constant temperature.
It had a good microwave & hot water kettle.
THE BAD.
Someone had turned the fridge down to its lowest setting to (I assume) defrost the ice box but had not come back to finish the job, as a consequence it was full of water upon arrival - rectified day 2.
Its a double room but there was (upon check-in) one spoon, one fork, three knives and a cracked cup. The cutlery situation was rectified upon request, but the cracked cup was never replaced. There was also no tea towel, dish cloth or dishwashing liquid until requested (provided on day 2)
There were dead beetles in the shower on arrival and the grout around the tiles at the bottom of the shower is either very dirty or has black mold.
The toilet cistern does not shut off without giggling the button if you use full flush.
Two old outdoor chairs provided for inside seating, one is broken, and both are extremely low if you try to use the built in bench for eating or writing while seated.
Other people kept parking in our rooms allocated parking space. The numbers on the parking spaces need to be repainted and guests instructed to park in their allocated space.
