Cozy, clean cabin in the north woods close to cross country ski trails, pet friendly and great communication with the hosts. Kitchen and cabin fit our needs. We will be back again! :)
Great stay at this cozy cabin in Mercer, WI! Beautiful lake location — peaceful, yet close to town. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our UTV trip. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely come back!

The accommodations here are incredible. Not one detail has been overlooked. Clean and well thought out. Quiet, off the beaten path but still close to WinMan trails.
This is our second time staying here. After our cozy stay last year, and the host's kindness and helpful communication, we were set on returning. The cottage has everything you might need and a beautiful spot on the lake. We love the little town of Mercer and surrounding areas!
The property was very clean and had everything we needed. Dawn was so nice to provide toys and supplies to make the visit with our small children, much easier.
Excellent communication from start to finish, the property was exactly as described, clean, and well-taken care of highly recommended with plenty of room for families. We were very happy with the stay, many lakes to fish close by, trails to hike and ride, and if you like pizza check out Home Slice Pizza you won't be disappointed.
We enjoyed staying at the cabin. Beautiful view of the lake. Close to all the winter activities we were taking part in. So glad we didn’t have to leave our fur babies at n the care of others.
The cabin was as we expected. it was cozy and well equipped. Our hosts texted us on our arrival to make sure everything was okay. The view of the lake was great. We couldn't have asked for a better two weeks
We had a great stay on Grand Portage Lake. We enjoyed kayaking and a bit of fishing. The cabin is in a great location for bike enthusiasts. It’s not far from the Mercer paved bike trails that connect with Heart of Vilas trails, and also close to WinMan trails for mountain biking. The cabin had many amenities and was just what we were looking for.

We had a wonderful stay! The owners reached out prior to our visit to answer any questions and provide us details on accessing the property. The area was quiet and neighbors were nice. The owners reached out during our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. The property was clean, cozy and comfortable. Great access to the lake and nice yard. Would definitely recommend this cabin and would stay here again!
The cabin is exactly as advertised. Dawn and Mitch were exceptional hosts, they answered every question in a moment, and personalized our stay with a sweet card and champagne. We enjoyed the quiet location, wildlife and all the lake life amenties Dawn and Mitch made available to us. We'd give this rental a 10 if vrbo would let us.
Stonewall Cabin West in Mercer was an excellent location to stage our supper club tour in No. WI! The location was easy to find, amenities provided were more than adequate, and the cabin was clean. The location on Portage Lake would make an ideal place for summer water activities. We found the cabin and town very accommodating and pleasant (when stores were open - realizing we visited during off-season). Our host was readily accessible for any questions that came up (but we didn't have any issues). We had a terrific stay and would definitely book again if in the area.
Stayed at this charming, cozy cabin for three days. It's a great location right on the lake and close to downtown and many other attractions withing driving distance. Various water crafts are available for your use. We took the canoe out a couple of times and kayaked on one gorgeous morning. My husband tried his hand at fishing but didn't have much luck. The cabin itself is fully stocked with every imaginable item you might need. The owner was extremely prompt in communicating with us and the check-in process was a breeze. We enjoyed the loons singing and diving and even had a deer run across the backyard while having my morning coffee. It was very peaceful and quiet there, which was just what we were looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
