Magical Place
There is no more perfect destination for someone or a couple seeking a memorable seaside getaway. Jade's Tower is sublime inside and out starting with its location in the welcoming village of Mendocino. From the warm interior filled with thoughtful amenities and offering sweeping ocean views to the glorious garden of flora surrounding it, you will want to keep returning as we have. If you're a clean freak, this is your slice of heaven. Communications with owner Virginia are a breeze. Caretakers Winnie and Andy are available if needed but respect your privacy. And it's their nurturing that creates that spectacular outdoor space. Note there is a spiral staircase in case you have any mobility issues. Thank you Virginia, Winnie and Andy for a wonderful stay!

Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend for a girls trip and the home is awesome! Awesome ocean views from the living room and bedroom upstairs. The garden is the star of the show! Beautiful flowers and succulents and even an ocean view from the backyard. A beautiful spot to have a glass of wine or coffee. We had an issue with the breakers in the home and it was quickly rectified. We will be back for sure!

Charming stay in downtown Mendocino
My hisband and I had a wonderful stay at Virginia's place in Mendocino. The property was cozy, private and comfortable, a perfect retreat for us for our 3 night stay in town. We loved the proximity to town for dining out amd shopping (Trilliim restaurant was just around the corner) and enjoyed visits to the Headlands for morning and evening hikes. The views of the town and ocean from every room were phenomenal. The private garden was in full bloom with lots of great spits to enjoy the setting with a morning cup of coffee. It's truly a unique hard to come by place that offers both privacy yet close enough to all the amenities the town has to offer. We will definately be back, thank you Virginia!

Exquisite Coastal Views
If gorgeous ocean views and a quaint garden property is your jam, this property is for you. Quiet, cute water tower accommodations surrounded by natural beauty. The host and property managers are responsive and welcoming. The only possible drawbacks are a steep spiral staircase to the bedroom and unlimited sunshine through the plentiful windows. The windows open to create a lovely cross breeze but in the warmer months this property could get very warm. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect for a quick getaway weekend. Jades Tower was comfortable, amazing views and convenient location to walk to town and ocean side walking trail. We are already trying to figure out when we can return. Everything was just so perfect!

We just love this property. The owner is gracious, The property care takers are so nice and keep the yard impeccable! Stayed here 3 times already and will be back again! The views, the quiet and the closeness to all of central Mendocino is perfect!

Port in a storm
We happened to be here the weekend a huge storm hit California. Power went out in the whole town while we were at dinner and our gusts were waiting for us to return- in driving rain and high winds- to hand us battery operated lanterns. We had no heat but plenty of extra blankets. Our hosts offered us a late check out due to road closures.

Even with 3 days of pouring rain storms we enjoyed our Mendocino stay because of Virginia’s unique beautiful house. Very cozy unique architecture, with beautiful windows full of light. Lovely gardens and close walk to restaurants etc. Kitchen was well stocked with teas, spices, oils etc Caretakers on land were friendly and helpful and Virginia a gracious great host.

Merry Christmas in Mendocino
We had a wonderful 4 day stay and celebrated Christmas in Mendocino. After a rough year of work, it was great to end the year in a relaxing environment and recharge. Walks along the headlands and enjoying the surf to exploring the shops and nearby Ft Bragg. Just a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Water tower Splendor
The property was just right. The water tower is a unique and cozy property. There are views from every window. The kitchen windows overlook the lovely garden, and the bedroom windows offer stunning views of the ocean from which we were able to watch sunrise and sunset The property is clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the water tower.

Fantastic lodging in the heart of Mendocino Village
My husband and I spent a week at Jade’s Tower and we loved every minute of it. The location in Mendocino Village is ideal: very quiet, but within walking distance to everything in the village. We especially loved the private garden, the wonderfully equipped kitchen, the comfortable bed, and the stunning views of the ocean. We loved everything about our stay. We’ll definitely be back.

Jades tower has the views from sunrise to stars at night you can’t get enough! Love how close you are to the organic market and the headlands Winnie and Andy are the best host and know all the best spots to visit I was lucky enough to enjoy the plaine Air art festival. A little piece of heaven with a view
We stayed at Jade's Tower to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. It was lovely and one of the prettiest places we have ever stayed at. The gardens are spectacular and a true original. Hopefully we will be able to return in the near future.

Lovely Garden Setting
Another great visit to the lovely village of Mendocino. The tower is nicely laid out and met all of our needs. We slept on the pull out couch downstairs, not wanting to risk our 77 year old bodies going up and down the spiral staircase in the middle of the night to get to the downstairs bathroom. It was quite comfortable and provided a peaceful nights rest. The restaurants were all great and the local bakery has expanded. Sadly the hotel bar and restaurant are closed down but there remains a good selection of excellent places to dine.

This is our second stay and we’ll be back. Extraordinarily clean, walk to town, restaurants and to the headland trails and Big River trail. Beautiful gardens and views from the property. Very comfortable bed and sofa sleeper is very good quality. Very nice caretaker living on the grounds. Easy drive to Ft Bragg for botanical gardens and other trails. Great place to stay for a beautiful and relaxing getaway.

What a beautiful spot! While the listing pictures accurately depict the views and charm of the space, the tranquil hum of all the beautiful birds and bumblebees enjoying the tranquil garden is something you have to experience in person. We were only in town for a wedding, but can now say we cannot wait to make Mendocino and this unique calming getaway a priority for annual weekend vacations.

Wonderful Lodging and Garden
We stay at Jade’s Tower often and it is a wonderful place to lodge in Mendocino. The Tower is very comfortable with magnificent views of the garden or ocean from every room. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, the living room is comfortable with a great TV (Netflix and some DVDs provided), and the bedroom is a delight to sleep in with sweeping views of the ocean. The private garden is stunning. It completely surrounds the Tower and is overflowing with diverse flora. Jade’s Tower is a magical place that is simply unforgettable. A special thank you to Winnie and Andy, the nearby caretakers, who always seem to make our stays even more special.
