Amazing place
This was an amazing cabin, located in the courner of the property. So secluded and wonderful. Lovely character. The house dog is wonderful, he comes to greet you every time you arrive home. I will most definitely come back and stay again

Second Time Around
This was our second visit and won’t be our last. This rental is off the beaten path and in a very quiet peaceful setting. Perfect location for trail riding and the host is great.

The house is great and very well kept! If you’re staying to ride WPG it’s an ideal place to stay with just a very short ride to the North TH. We will be staying here again (if available) on our next trip up.

First Trail Ride
This property is just as advertised. The host was very accommodating and communicated very quickly. The ride to the trails was a very nice ride. The host has done an excellent job with the outdoor space for a nice relaxing atmosphere after a day on the trails. I will definitely stay there again. LS

2nd visit and will be back
We love riding our SxS at Wolf Pen Gap trails and this secluded cabin is a short drive away from the North trailhead. The cabin is adorable and has all the amenities needed to enjoy a fun getaway! Thanks to the amazing hosts that make check in/out super easy and very accommodating.

Great location and hosts
I quickly rented this after my husband and I decided almost last minute to book a trip to Wolfpen Gap trails. It was a nice drive from the location to the trails - about 5 miles to the TH. Quite Beautiful peaceful place to stay. And the dog is super friendly and helpful - he lead us right to the cabin 😀

Great Experience
Typically stay in the local owned cabin rentals within Wolf Pen Gap. We we’re not sorry we stayed here. Short ride into Wolf Pen Gap.

Private, secluded, quiet.
Had a great stay. Cabin was exactly as described. Private, secluded and quiet. No bugs inside, just about everything you need in the kitchen, just could use some large bowls and a pancake griddle other than that is was great. Oh and if you do rent , be sure and take a large toy for their fur baby Doc, he loves to play and is very friendly. At first he might scare you coming out the side door. Great place to stay. Yes we will stay again

Location perfect water not so much!
I was extremely satisfied with everything except the water. It had the most awful Sulphur smell I couldn’t even rinse my mouth out. The property itself was perfect for a weekend ride.

Most are not bothered by it so I’m wondering if the harsh wording was due to you asking me to refund (forgive) the first night (which I could not do) due to your late hour (9:30pm) arrival? Beautiful property inside and out
We really enjoyed being outdoors and being able to use the pond to fish. The dog that greets you as you come up the drive way is so friendly and adorable. It was clean, and well kept. It fit a family of 4 perfectly. We went to Mcguires Access and did some swimming and fishing just up the road. Sherry was a great host, and was quick to respond to our questions. Overall we enjoyed our short trip and would book here again!

Perfect getaway
Clean cute guest home! Great set up for enjoying the outdoors. We stayed during part of the heat wave and the air conditioner still kept the house comfortable. Perfect location for riding at Wolf Pen Gap! We would stay again!

Great location for side by side riding
This house was perfectly located for what we needed. We were close to trails and the house was just big enough for us and our 2 dogs. The owners are close by but there's also privacy. Which we're used to having some land so that was nice. We went to Wolf pen gap and another one that sherry told us about. Both were fun but Wolf pen is definitely marked better but busier. We hope to come back next year.

Beautiful country setting
It was nice being able to drive our RZR to the atv trails. The property is private and quiet and the cabin has everything you need. We enjoyed sitting by the campfire making s’mores, walking our dogs and enjoying the view. We will stay there again in the near future.

This place is a really great place to stay! It’s secluded in a country setting but not to far from town in case you forgot something. We had several visits from the owner’s dog whom my young pup loved playing with! Would highly recommend this place & we would definitely stay here again. ♥️

My Birthday Weekend
We loved it great location not to far from town. We loved the owners Dog Doc we made friends with him and he'd stay and make sure we was good! Most definitely will go back! It was cold so we didn't get to really set out side much but it was beautiful! We went for my Birthday just to browse around town and relax and to look at the fall colors! Sherry was great with any questions or concern we had.

Great cabin super close to Wolf pen gap
Loved our stay here. Very secluded. Nice cabin feel. Great property. Fishing in ponds was great, caught a 7lb bass in large pond! Short ride by side by side to Wolf pen gap or Ouachita river. Loved the flexible check in and check out. Outside setup was great. Bed was comfortable. Well stocked. Saw lots of deer and armadillos in the evening. Have zero complaints.

The property was really nice, felt as if you were not on site with the owners. Great amenities, very well stocked cabin, had you set up for Smore's which I thought was very nice, cabin nicely decorated. My only glitch is that if you take a pet with you, then you will spend most of your time making sure that they don't get on the furniture if you have small dogs that are used to making their selves at home and we usually have dog hair on us, and it gets on everything we sit on, so that was a worry for me as well. As this was a very nice cabin, it should probably not be eligible to take your furry friends, so that you will have no worries. It is local to all the trails in Wolf Pen Gap, the Talamena Scenic Drive, not far from the Caddo River, a great middle place to all. I would highly recommend this cabin for a great stay.

Small and secluded
Property was nice and had lots of outdoor areas to relax. House was old and small and appliances could have been cleaned better between guests. It’s good for two people. The bed was very comfortable. A couple of ballasts are going out, in kitchen and dining area, so lights sometimes would not come on. Don’t expect the internet to work. It was down most of the time we were there which caused issues with streaming anything on the tv and handling my business while I was away. Wanted to drive our ATV to the trails, but realistically too far and not safe to drive the ATV on the public roads necessary to get to the trails. We took the ATV in the trailer, which was no big deal though. Location is about 7 miles from the North trail head of Wolf Pen Gap.

Thank you for letting me know about the internet. It is satellite which tends to depend on the weather which was a little windy. It’s the best we have in our remote area which is why guests stay with, to unplug. Locals as well as guests ride our road to WPG all the time with no issues. I guess it depends on the person as to whether or not it’s safe. I’ll speak to the cleaning staff regarding any other issues as well. I appreciate the feedback and good luck with future travels. We enjoyed our stay at cabin at back of the owner's property. Very secluded and even a private outdoor area with lights at night! Very cool. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was huge and the heater in the bathroom was great. No complaints.

We had a wonderful time at Little Coon! The cabin was clean and tidy and we had just about everything we needed! The outdoor spaces were perfect, I loved all of the outdoor sitting areas. We got to meet Doc, their sweet dog! I would stay again and definitely recommend!

Very private guest house.
We mainly only spent the nights at property. Guest house is secluded even from main house. House was clean and had all the necessities. We didn't see the landlords. If you want contact less rental this is your place. Scenery was good

Very basic and no frills, but perfect for the get-away we were looking for. Loved being able to cook and make a fire outside after a day of exploring. We also had easy access to the Ouachita River. Plenty of room for our puppy to run around outside and explore.

Great place to unplug and recharge
We chose this property because it allowed pets (we have a pit bull puppy) was fairly secluded according to the pictures, and was in our price range. All in all, I feel this is an excellent property. Just like the description says, this is not plush accommodations, but it's everything you need and more to just have a relaxing weekend. The fridge was stocked with basic condiments, there was a cute DIY smores kit, and plenty of pots/pans to cook with (we never left the property - cooked all our meals). The bed was pretty nice compared to my expectations as well. We had no cell service, and there was no WIFI of course. Being disconnected like that was a surprise to us, but it ended up being a blessing. Our dog had a BLAST and regularly disappeared for a while and reappeared happy and tired. The owners have dogs and a few other animals near the main house, but they were penned up and we kept our dog far far away from there. My only suggestion to the owners would be to clarify that the pond in the pictures is the pond at the main house, and not the pond at the guest house. I am fully aware that we could have walked down there and used it based on the description, but just out of respect and a little bit of awkwardness, we stayed in our area. There is a pond at the guest house though and we did go fishing a few times. Again, all in all, for the price, this place is great and we would absolutely go again!

Perfect Getaway
We had an amazing time! This property is perfect for a private getaway. Everything thing was set up so we just unloaded an enjoyed our stay. From the two stocked pond and two fire pit areas (with firewood onsite) you couldn’t ask for better host.

Perfect little getawat
We absolutely loved our time on property. We drive up to a fire setup for us and a bucket filled with snores goodies. The house was super private and sucked when all the essentials we needed. Didn't have any luck on the fishing pond but getting to spend the morning watching the sunrise over it was was a blessing in it itself. Can't wait to return!

My husband ended up not being able to go so I stayed there with myself. It was so relaxing. I fished the pond and my dog ran around smelling all the new smells. The cabin was spotless and had anything you would ever need and more! I’ll definitely go back!

Cabin was as described by the owner, cozy and rustic. No frills but decorated really cute. We enjoyed the private area and the peaceful surroundings. Would definitely stay there again if we ever get back that way.

This cozy cabin was everything and more that we needed for a mountain getaway.
The property was easy to find and hard to leave. The owners provided everything we needed plus some things we didn't think to bring like smores supplies. The cabin was so nice and the fishing was so nice. We caught some bass after a tip from the owner. We will absolutely stay here again!!

We loved our stay. This is a very beautiful place. Enjoyed a great night sitting around the fire pit by the lake. Owners left us free range eggs in the fridge for breakfast the next morning. They were out of this world.

Clean and cozy, Great location. Owners are nice people. Fishing was AWESOME. Towns people very friendly. Great food in town as well. We will return to this location in the future. Many thanks to the owners Sheri and Daniel. Only gave it a 4 of 5 rating because of no bath tub. I have disabilities that required heat soaks, shower alone was not sufficient but I toughed it out and would do so again.
