"Our stop at Best Western in Omaha, NE was a nightmare. We were on a week-long road trip from the East to the West Coast. Without a doubt, this hotel was THE WORST out of 6 places...all different hotel brands. We walked in and was greeted with an unwelcomed smell, the parking lot was horrible, the elevator looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years with worn our dirty rugs in it. When we finally got to our room, it didn't smell clean, stains on the bedspread and there were a ziplock of partially opened baked cookies left on the TV Stand. I call to the front desk to ask if the room was properly cleaned and they asked who was currently in the room. The manager finally came up 10 mins later (probably because the elevator takes that long to go 5 floors) and when I opened the door she asked where the cookies were. She came in and grabbed them, I mentioned that I was worried the room wasnt properly cleaned and others had been in our room. She walked backwards without making eye contact and said, we had a different family in the room before you checked in bu tthey decided they wanted two beds not one. That was it. We debated on just driving 8 hours to our next stop but it wouldnt have been safe. So, we stripped the bedding to the fitted sheet, slept in sweats, hoodie with hood on, socks and didnt bother to shower in the dirty bathroom. TO top it off, I paid just as much for this room as I did every other room on my journey. Anything over 50.00 bucks for a room here is THEFT. BEWARE."
