not great, would probably not stay again
had trouble both with checkin and checkout with no one being around. this became a problem in the AM.. our son got sick (from anxiety) in the middle of the night and threw up. i rinsed the sheets myself and noticed stains on the matress protector and matress on the side of the bed i was on, not my son. rinsed the sheet out myself. was to tell the front desk in the morning, but no one was around to tell. after my wife got a call about a charge for damage the next day, we stopped back at the hotel and explained the stains were there, and on the wrong side of the bed from where my son threw up anyway. in the end, they ended up concluding to charge us 50$ for a pillow and cover (not sure if it was a pillow cover or a matress cover, it wasnt specified in the note). this for "damage" caused by our son (to the pillow anyway?) unfortunately getting sick. we did not intentionally cause damage, it was an unavoidable accident, and yet they charge us for it. it just ended up feeling as if they were looking for ways to make extra money by charging people for "damage" that they didnt cause, and excessive amounts for unfortunate illness. we've had things happen before but never once has a hotel had the guts to charge us for something like this. very sad. breakfast was very disappointing, hotel did not look like pictured.

Dear Guest,We are very sorry for not having comfortable stay, We tried our best to serve you top of our standards.As per the above feedback, seems like few things was verified and mentioned over the phone.During check-in we did not found any issues as in the morning the staff was there and they were working. As you did not ask or call from the desk for service.We charged you for accidental damage was not normal or usual happened, where we tried our best and try to recover our minimal cost.

Juan,We are sorry for your uncomfortable stay, Fleas might come if you open the window whole time.We have our all staff speaks english and other languages. After your check-out we found yellow food stain on bath towels, hand towel which we have thrown because the stain did not came out and we let you go without charged you.

The lobby area was sufficient for a small group however the couches should be replaced as the distressed imitation leather was shedding pieces of leather on our clothing. The staff (Sam) was awesome. We had everything we needed in the room and was clean. Breakfast was minimal with cereal and toast. I was not expected any more than that, so I was not disappointed!

The hotel was clean, but smells of cigarette smoke as they alliow smoking. This is against the clean air act in the state of Minnesota. The managet stated this act doesn't matter as they have allowed smoking for 10 years. They also did not have the continental breakfast as stated. At this time the only way i would stay at this hotel would be if it were the last one available in the area.

This was a pretty bad place for us, but we needed a place to stop. Bed covers were stained. Anything white had stains. Only 1 washcloth was usable. I always get a place that has breakfast. None! I was told we could make coffee in our room if we wanted. So we had to to out to get our own. I didn't get what I paid for. Just gross! The guy seemed miserable that worked there too. Only good thing is the beds were at least somewhat comfortable.

We stayed Saturday night to Sunday morning. There was no breakfast as "the inspectors will be here Monday". I asked for a $20 refund on our $125 charge... was told they would refund me $10. Will see if that shows up on our card. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. Also, the light in the bathroom made a loud humming noise (this was NOT the bathroom fan). There was also an overall odor, most noticeable in the hallways but also somewhat in the room.

Upon checkin was told there would be no breakfast in the morning (Sunday) as the "inspectors" will be here Monday and they "don't like" they way they have the food set out. I requested a $20 refund but they only agreed to $10. Turning on the bathroom light makes an annoying noise and the A/C is also overly loud.

The entrance way and hallways smelled like people had smoked. Being a nonsmoker it was sickening. The hallway up the steps was very dirty. The internet app stated there was a hot breakfast and there wasn’t any breakfast. All the rooms with kings were on the 2 floor. I have a bad back!

The four non smoking rooms were separate from the smoking rooms. The ventilation system for the facility did not come into our non smoking room. I appreciate that. Also, as we were leaving, in weather that was rainy, snowy and windy two men come out to smoke. They were getting some fresh air and respecting the rights of others. They even offered to help me get the snow off the van which was in the Reserved for Veterans parking spot by the front door. I pulled the van out of the Vets parking spot then cleaned the snow off the van. I appreciate and Thank you for your kindness to Us Vets.

The common areas smelled terrible like cigarettes. The sheets and towels smelled of smoke as well. The room itself didn’t smell but I came home and my pajamas smelled like I had been in a bar. The towel ripped as I was drying off and there was a stain on the bottom sheet.

Expedia advertised an included breakfast but none was available. We tried the in-room coffee machine but it left a floating layer of something on the coffee. Bathroom tub floor needed better cleaning. Acknowledge that it is an inexpensive highway motel but you shouldn’t advertise breakfast when there isn’t one.

Upon entering the building I smelled cigarette smoke. The bed was clean. I was told that breakfast has no coffee so I should make it in the room and if I need more to ask. The next morning they didn’t have any breakfast. They posted a sign saying due to Covid they don’t have to provide any.

The proprietor was unavailable for more than 10 minutes, delaying our check-in. Very nice guy though. Property is run down. Bathroom provided insufficient shower curtain, creating a flooded room. Bathroom not well maintained. Sheets worn with holes in them. Definitely not worth the price.

The gentleman who checked me in was pleasant. There is no breakfast available even though the website states that it is. The gentleman who checked me in explained that a customer complained about no masks, so he stopped serving breakfast months ago. Perhaps the information on the Expedia website should be updated with such information. The room was DIRTY: cobwebs in the window, poor visibility out the window because of dirt, layer of dust on the window sill, black stuff and hair on the shower walls, crumbs on the recliner and a cashew on the floor, towels and sheets were either dirty or stained (couldn't tell which), many light bulbs didn't work, and the light/fan in the bathroom was so noisy that I couldn't use it. It was my understanding that the room had just been cleaned, so I kept quiet. My thought was that all rooms would be in the same condition. While in my room the morning of check-out, someone tried to enter my room without knocking or making an announcement for housekeeping. I had the bar across the door which prevented the person from entering. When I opened the room door, I saw a door across the hallway, for employees only, closing behind someone. Housekeeping should knock and announce before entering a room. Had I not had the bar across the door, a person would have entered my occupied room without permission or acknowledgment. That is not a safe situation for anyone involved.

The property is not kept up. The windows in the entry were dingy and had some sort of plastic film on them. We had to kill at least 10 flies in our room, the security latch was broken, the smoke detector battery door was open and the battery was missing. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. We had pre-paid and did not see the mold until we came back later that night. We will never stay here again and may shy away from super 8's all together after this stay.

We did not stay as the rooms were not ready and the place was dirty and we made reservations at a nicer hotel for the same price. Weeds in landscaping. Dust on coffee tables with magazines from 2018! The lobby furniture had peeling/cracked leather. There were crumbs on the dining tables even though they don’t provide any food. The lights were all shut off in the lobby and hallway when we arrived. We went in one of the rooms to look at it to see if we wanted to stay after seeing the dirty lobby and there were at least 5 flies in the room. We went to Ameri inn in Sauk centre and it was a beautiful hotel with a great breakfast and great customer service

This hotel was not fit for any human stay if they expect a clean room, linens or the advertised breakfast. The early 2pm check in was unusual but learned breakfast was discontinued because a customer a month ago was concerned of Covid issues with the hot breakfast and wanted payment. There was no reason why their customers were not given a sec breakfast instead. The room conditions noticed later that evening of dirty towels and washcloths, a stained bathtub & holes in the blanket and sheets. There was no staff in the hotel the next morning but a note at the desk said leave your key card on the counter. The super eight and Wyndham companies should not allow their name to be disgraced with the disgusting room conditions.

The listing for this property is completely misleading. There was NO BREAKFAST included - which is why we chose the property. It may seem like a small detail, but when you have two rooms booked and are feeding eight people - having to go out and try to find breakfast in a small town is both (1) expensive, and (2) time consuming. The manager told us the breakfast stopped being available a month ago after "someone complained" about Covid issues. That is a ridiculous excuse. They clearly just decided to stop serving it and he refused to provide any financial compensation. The Expedia listing ought to be changed. I note there are other similar reviews (which I unfortunately hadn't read, as I just went by the overall average review rating).
