The host had left us a special basket of treats (always popular) and access to essentials we'd managed to forget, like the olive oil. The fire was prepped to be lit, the beds were warm and comfy, and the location couldn't be beat. I had three wonderful walks with my dog over the weekend, and a top quality morning coffee in town (10 mins walk along the river) - all without the need for a car. It was homely and spotless with wonderful character. We had cold rainy weather during our stay, but none of us minded when we had such a lovely place to retreat to when we needed to cut short our daily adventures and get out of the weather. The cottage was easy walking distance to the shops via the picturesque river trail and host Leanne was very helpful. The welcome goodies were an unexpected surprise too! We found plenty to entertain ourselves with in the Warburton area and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay in the cottage if we are in the Warburton area again. It is close to town and shops, a very nice walk down the river to the local cafes and restaurants. The house is very well organised and had everything we needed, and more! Walking distance to Yarra. The rings provided for use down the Yarra were a hit and the bird seed to feed the birds around the house.
