The perfect spot
We were lunching next door at Tedesca Osteria and knew we wouldn't want to drive anywhere after lunch. Stony Creek Cottages are literally next door to the restaurant - a 1 minute walk. Louise could not have been more helpful or accommodating, ringing in advance to ask about our breakfast requirements, coming round to turn on the heating and showing us around to cottage. The cottage is extremely comfortable with good heating, excellent amenities, and very quiet at night. It was absolute perfection.

Thank you Irene, we loved meeting and accommodating you. So pleased you enjoyed your stay and Hinterland region experience.
Fantastic hospitality and passion for the area from the host, ice creams in the freezer, donkeys in the barn, hot croissants in the morning what’s not to love? Probably one of the best places I have stayed so far

Thank you Owen, so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Was a joy to meet you both. Best regards a Louise & Rob
The property was pleasant to stay and the valley views were amazing. The downside was the bed and the mattress was very hard and very uncomfortable to sleep in. My partner had a back pain after sleeping on that bed.

Thank you for response. So pleased you enjoyed our property. Regarding the bed, it is very tricky to get a bed to suit all guests, so sorry you had back pain. We have previously not received a comment about the bed comfort. Thank you for taking the time to let us know.
Have decided to replace bed in response to this event, as we pride ourselves on providing comfortable clean and enjoyable accommodation. Brand new bed in place and do hope we may see you again. Apologies your experience was not 5/5 hope we get it right for you next time.
Property was beautifully located, well maintained and the host had organised the gas fire to be on for arrival.
The fridge was filled with lovely breakfast goodies and there was even ice creams in the freezer.
As a bonus we had 2 cute donkeys to feed carrots to at the rear of the cottage.
My only suggestion would be a Laundry basket in the bathroom for used towels....everything else was perfect.
The owners of the property were more than accommodating and friendly. They greeted us on arrival and delivered warm fresh croissants to our door the next morning
The cottage was super cozy and Louise made sure everything was provided for us, even if we didn't know we needed It! All cookware provided and a fridge stocked with fresh local ingredients to cook breakfast made mornings wonderful. She went above and beyond to personally come chat upon our arrival and not only made an amazing restaurant reco for us, but took the liberty of making the reservation herself. Although I live in NYC I can assure you that next trip to Australia I will be spending a few more days at the Peninsula, and staying in this cottage. What a wonderful weekend!
We were welcomed with a roaring fireplace and a friendly tour of the cottage. The location was fantastic and handy to everything in Red Hill. Also the included breakfast was enough to feed us for our entire stay and even had special dietary requirements covered. Highly recommended.
My partner and I could not have been more happy with our stay. The owners were super friendly and even called the day before to ask what we wanted for breakfast. Highly recommended!
We found the location quiet and relaxing and the room very comfortable. The cottage had a nice firm bed and, despite not being air conditioned, was very comfortable on a hot night due to being solid brick and having large fans to keep it cool. Louise was very friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was plentiful. Lovely break!
We absolutely loved our stay at stoney creek cottages! The owners are amazing and super friendly, the location is just beautiful and so peaceful. It is the ideal location for a getaway! The scenery is to die for. Our room was perfect, we had everything we needed and more! Just a short drive to restaurants, beaches, and shops. Defiantly found a little treasure and we will be back for sure!
Wonderful self contained cottages with everything at hand that you could possibly want for a relaxing stay. Louise was an excellent hostess and the breakfast supplies were delicious and generous in quantity. The fire place created a cosy ambience.
The stay was very pleasant. Situated in the middle of the wine and food district. Proprietor Louise is very welcoming and a delight to deal with. Top marks. Wineries and food walking distance, and short drive to Red Hill itself.
We loved the views from our room, also the resident pony & alpaca. Facilities great. Plenty of information about wineries, food, bewery, sightseeing etc. Our hosts (Louise) was super friendly, and was keen to make us fee at home, which we did!

So pleased you enjoyed your stay, it was a joy to meet you both...Best regards Louise
Even though we arrived late in the evening we were greeted by Louise whose enthusiasm & love for the area was infectious. A vibrant lady full of local knowledge. The cottages are at the rear of the property with a magnificent view across the valley. If you're lucky you'll be greeted by the friendly alpaca early in the morning as you enjoy the beautiful sunrise. The cottages are warm & cosy & well stocked with toiletries, including bathrobes & rugs & pillows. The fridge was well stocked with local produce for our yummy breakfast in the mornings. Just across the road in one direction was a great French restaurant, in the other direction was an olive grove & cafe & next door was a gallery also with a cafe. It is less than 5 minutes drive to the centre of Red Hill & within 20 minutes of the beautiful beaches of Flinders, Merrick & Somers. In between these areas there's an incredible amount of wineries, cafes, produce stores & galleries to visit. Do yourself a favour &'stay for at least 2 nights to give yourself plenty of time to explore.

good location. Right in the middle of the wineries
The cottage was very nice. The wood fire is excellent and Louise and Rob (the hosts) are very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I would stay there again and would definately recomend Stony Creek Cottages.
Facilities: Above average, Limited breakfast but ok.; Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Pristine;
Would return to this lovely place.
Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless, Gleaming;
Perfect couple's getaway; nice and quiet. But also so close to the beach and other touristy spots.
