Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in South Melbourne our Cottage was well equipped beautifully presented and close to a great selection of pubs and public transport, taking amazingly short time to the city. Loved our short stay. Dolours and Tanya.
Another wonderful stay. Great location and comfortable property. Close to so many great places - the Railway Hotel just up the road have friendly staff, good pub food, good wine and of course cold beer.
Location was outstanding for our purpose. Nearby coffee shops and pubs very good. Friendly neighbors, good dog walking areas. Parking not as good as I would have liked.Chris was helpful.
The location of this property is very convenient and close to amenities such as South Melbourne Market, DFO South Wharf, Melbourne Convention Centre and plenty of food establishments.
Overall, we had a pleasant time staying at this cottage.
Excellent location - close to easy transport connections (both tram and train), the STH Melbourne market, a good local cafe and supermarket. Was low fuss getting into downtown. Fantastic Melbourne style cottage.
Second time we have stayed here. Great location, cute property and dog friendly with very secure courtyard. Easy check in, host responds to any queries quickly. Love all the succulents in the back courtyard too. Close to lots of parks and cafes and the city.
Spent seven nights here. Fabulous location for enjoying South Melbourne, including the market, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Easy access to transport to get around Melbourne.
The house is lovely. Everything we needed and we loved the outdoor area!
Will be keen to stay again next time we visit Melbourne.
This is a comfortable, cosy and convenient home for a short or a long stay.
There is everything to make you feel at home.
And great amenities and transport just a short walk away.
Chris is an excellent host and has put a lot of effort into making this stay a great experience.
We loved this place from the moment we opened the front door to the old wooden-floored hallway full of old posters and maps. The house is well appointed and has good wifi access. The courtyard was lovely in the sun and the dogs loved it.
The best part is the location close to public transport, the markets and local shops, cafes ave restaurants.
Lovely narrow cottage with courtyard. Decorated with colourful posters and interesting maps. Comfortable and convenient to market and pubs. Tram around the corner. Gorgeous gardens 2 minutes walk. Host was welcoming and contactable.
We, loved the house. It was comfortably laid out, had every kitchen device you could want and a lovely private area out back to dine or relax. Chris was a fantastic host, answered all our questions promptly and was very informative about the area. The house is within walking distance of the CBD, the Botanic Gardens, the market and the Ian Potter centre which has outstanding aboriginal art. All in all a perfect place for us. Thank you Chris
We recently stayed five nights. Location is fantastic - we really enjoyed walking to South Melbourne markets and Albert Park shops. The house really suited us as we had our dog with us and she enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard in the sun! Communication with property manager was excellent. We thought we had left something behind and he went looking promptly. check in process very simple. Great to have the parking permit!

Excellent location
The property was in such a great location really close to trams. The street was really quiet with not alot of traffic. Coffee shop 150m up the road, park close by and albert park a short wll away with a mini Woolworths. Some of the cleaning could be a litttle better though. Sheets, towels and bathroom was cleaned well. It was more on closer inspection the clutter and dinning chairs and mats could have been cleaned a little better.
This spot was awesome. 3 stops on the tram to the hassle and bale of town for whatever entertainment you’re chasing and in a quiet leafy part of Melbourne oozing history!
This is a great spot to escape to and walking distance to so many restaurants, pubs, cafes and of course the water.
The place itself is very well set up with a stunning little courtyard, all the amenities you could need and very roomy bathrooms (fabulous shower - hot and great pressure). The table would be cosy for dining with more than 4 but is certainly comfortable for the beds available.
Highly recommend.
A week in a perfect traditional property, in an ideal location. Rooms are well appointed. Only two issues which are easily resolved. Parking is on the street, but time controlled by the Council, but we found a few totally unrestricted outside the local church, round the corner. The other issue, as noted by another previous renter, was locking the kitchen door to the rear patio. This was tricky, and would be best fixed. We'd highly recommend this property.
Great location, walking distance to Alexandra Gardens to walk “Olivia’s Walk for Wellness” with our two dogs. Close to the shops and the fabulous markets. Private and dog friendly. Parking was an issue as timed parking 7 days a week, however when we called Chris he provided us with the neighbours visiting permit. A few minor issues for us : no first aid kit as advertised in the welcome pack and we forgot to bring bandaids, the washing machine left black marks on our white clothes, poor television reception and it kept turning off, most of the drawers and cupboards were filled with the owners stuff. School over the road was noisy during school hours. However, we enjoyed our stay in Melbourne.

SUITED ME JUST FINE, ONCE I GOT USED TO EVERYTHING
I would stay again as it’s perfect for me and my pooch. Very safe for him as no stairs and small yard, and walking around area felt safe.
Home and yard ‘messy’ - could do with a good tidy up, both inside and out.
I would liked to have milk available - even a selection of UHT in cupboard.
I would have liked some local information.
Also, I suggest putting another key in lock box in timber front door, as it closed on me unexpectedly.
Absolutely Great! The location was perfect to get to the South Melbourne Market, 3 different rail lines to the CBD, dining or just Happy Hour. Little more than a mile (less than 2K) to the beach. Used the BBQ 4 times during our 2 week stay and dined in the back patio. Very quiet neighborhood in the evenings in that schools are directly across the street. Parking was not an issue in that we didn't use our car over several days.
Chris was great about showing us the amenities of the unit. The neighbors were very friendly and some we got to know very well.
Kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals.
This location is perfect for a visitor that must have a vehicle or the visitor that does not have a vehicle because of transportation available. Grocery stores are near the S Melbourne Market if they don't have the provisions that you are looking for.
My total recommendation.
