Great hotel for Melbourne CBD.
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have enjoyed each stay. The staff are very friendly and professional. This hotel is located in the perfect position for all that you wish to do in the cbd. The continental breakfast is very good and the cleanliness and quality of the room is excellent. We would recommend this hotel to all our friends.

We arrive early in the morning from our flight and we were greeted by 2 friendly receptionist- a lady and a gentleman. Seeing that we had a child, they allowed us to check in early at our room free of charge. It’s so accessible and lots of nearby shops around.

The only problem I felt was not very clean and you have to park like 12 minutes away and to walk with laugage and suitcases very difficult... However the staff are very friendly.

I have stayed here a number of times over the years, it is in a great location close to shops, central to both the MCG & Marvel Stadium. The only negative point was the card to the lift and doors needed updating several times and the whole hotel looks tired and in need of a spruce up.

Pros: Love the location, nice sized rooms, and the staff are fantastic. Price is always great too. Very quiet considering the location. Its now my favourite hotel in Melbourne CBD. Cons: The rooms are starting to look a bit worn, particularly the bathrooms. I found my room could have been vacuumed a bit better and shower/bath could be cleaned more. That would make a big difference to making the rooms seem not as worn out.

Location is fantastic - right in the middle of the cbd and close to cafes and shops. The staff are friendly and the room was quiet. The hotel itself is a bit run down and our room needed a refurbishment. The armchair in the room smelt pretty bad, as did the hallway on the floor we stayed on. The bathroom was roomy and clean.

Excellent location in the middle of town, especially if you don't have a car. Room was getting a bit tired, but I understand there is a full renovation happening shortly. Bathroom basin was stylish but impractical, although there was adequate shelf space. Will visit again after the renovations.

The hotel is what it is, as in accurately described. Word of caution, unless you have a serious hearing impairment, request a room as far away from the lift shaft and motor room as its moaning & groaning will ruin your stay.

I loved staying here. It was a super cool location and awesome being in a genuine Art Deco building with a bit of character rather than a pristine soulless hotel room. Sure, the carpet was worn etc but I could have paid twice the price for a smaller room elsewhere. It was fun. And the robes were nice.

Old and in need of renovations but all the essebstials are there and everything works fine for a nice stay. Room was very large, plenty of storage space, no noise problems and the location is just perfect.
