The Barn is close on 100 years old and many of the original features are still present, including the solid wood pillars and wooden ceiling giving it an authentic country atmosphere. More recent additions include a farmhouse kitchen, bathroom and wood fired heater. Another recent addition is an extensive elevated deck which boasts an external wood fired heater, bbq and outdoor furniture. Bacchus Marsh is home to some lovely country style cafes, fruit and vegetable stores, community markets and pick your own fruit orchards. When I found "The Barn" I knew without a doubt it would be the perfect place, we were not disappointed. Joy and Leigh made our stay comfortable and cozy. We were greeted by the warmth of the burning wood stove when we arrived on a chilly Spring afternoon. We questioned if we should ditch the function and stay in with a bottle of wine and cook a meal as all the facilities were there, including a washing machine if we had required a multi day stay. We enjoyed a breakfast of juice, tea, coffee, toast and cereal all provided as part of the booking.
