The building’s corridor smoke detectors are directly connected to Fire Rescue Victoria. If the door to the hallway is opened while food is burning, the alarm is likely to activate.

Please open the balcony door instead to clear the air.

False alarm callouts are charged to the guest responsible for activating the alarm. This fee can run in the thousands.

This is a building rule, not ours — we just want to make sure you’re not caught out by surprise.

The kitchen is well equipped and the balcony is right there.
