Our stay was so fun! There was room for everyone and the house is quirky-cool and comfy. We loved walking around the neighbourhood. We saw goats! chickens! Red lizards! Friendly, fluffy doggos. Everything we needed for cooking was available. The beds are cozy and the shower on the bottom floor is the bee's knees. Best. Shower. Ever.

Plenty of room to spread out with views and centrally located
Great location close to everything in a quiet neighborhood. .. great house for our large family. kids and inlaws. Plenty of things to do for the kids plus space for people to relax and get away from the main commotion of the house. The outside kitchen was a nice perk. The BBQ grills were amazing.

Amazing Place
My family and I have stayed at this house for many years, and have always loved it! We were so excited to see it back on VRBO. Property is plenty large, lots of space for everyone to hang out together or take breaks as needed. Lots of outdoor space, although it was poor weather while we were there. We really appreciated that we didn’t become inundated with rules and/or procedures to exit—we could arrive, take care of the property, pack up and leave without extra stress. Everything was well kept and we will definitely be back! Thanks so much for a great stay!

Nice but Dated
The house is nice overall. The wallpaper/drapes/carpets etc are dated. It has everything needed for a short stay and is perfectly comfortable. That said, the windows all need screens particularly the 'balcony" bedroom. It gets hot (even on 70 degree days). Opening the window to let in air also lets in flies. Also, it would be good to have some alternative bedding for hotter days when a big duvet is too much.

Lovely House and Grounds. We had some trouble with internet hookup though, ie, spotty for some of us. Also some windows lack screens and various other relatively minor issues which will hopefully be fixed. All in all a very nice place to stay.

My cousins wedding
My family of 3 and my brothers family of 4 stayed at the house for my cousins wedding in town. This property worked out perfectly for us. There was enough room for everyone. The little kids loved the game room and the older kid loved that there was a tv in his room. Everything was clean and comfy. Check in and out was a breeze. All our family who stayed at hotels in town were jealous of our accommodations. I would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed the house, the property and the town. Only problem was the master bed & bath for someone who walks with a cane. Bed way too high and bath slippery when floor gets wet. The stairs to get to another bedroom was not an option. Not enough plates, glasses & silverware for 6 people. They could go to Goodwill even and buy some more sets. We had to do dishes after every meal. Also used 1 of the laundry pods that were supplied and it ruined 4 different white/light colored shirts. Don't know what was in it. Should bring your own just in case. We really loved the outdoor kitchen and cooked 4 meals out of 6 on it. The weather was warmer than we anticipated which was a nice surprise. 6 Rivers Brewery at the bottom of the hill had good food and beer!! Very different but good shrimp po'boys. If you bring a dog or have kids, watch out for the skunk. We actually saw her twice in the back yard, once with her 2 babies! There were a few cobwebs and dust, but on the whole things were clean. So many things to do in the area. We drove to the Ave. of the Giants and enjoyed the giant redwoods. Also went to Agate Beach and hiked to the beach, what a hike! Nice beach though!

Perfect for our family reunion
Spacious comfortable home for our family reunion. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware and outdoor kitchen was a plus. Beautiful landscape and views. We will be back.

Great time but problems
The property is great but not well designed for older folks because it is split level. The upstairs bedrooms were good. The downstairs was hard to heat so in order to get the downstairs warm you ended up overheating the upstairs. The master bedroom bath had issues. The shower doesn't have a door, so it was hard to keep from getting water on the bathroom floor which made it very slippery. You had to jiggle the toilet handle after flushing or the toilet would run. It was our 60th wedding anniversary and a family gathering, and we enjoyed our time there. We would stay again but it would be better in the warmer months when you can enjoy all of the amenities.

Needs a lot of TLC
If you plan to stay at this house in the summertime, be sure to bring floor fans since there is no AC and the property management doesn’t provide any. The windows are difficult to open and many of them don’t have screens on them, so plan on lots of flies when trying to cool the house down. There were six of us and not enough silverware without having to wash some before each meal. Overall, the kitchen is not well stocked. The living room furniture is old and not very comfortable for those that have bad backs. The upstairs master bedroom has a queen bed while the back bedroom has a king, which makes no sense. The view of the ocean is minimal, but could be better if some of the bushes were shorter. The lawn was mostly weeds and there were weeds growing out of the gutters and up through the deck. The ventilation fans for the outdoor kitchen have mold all over them. We had to place a rock under the small refrigerator on the deck to make it level to allow the door to be opened better. Overall, this place needs a lot of TLC.

Broken Appliances and poor communication with Vacasa
The property was perfect for our group, we loved the house, the area and the neighborhood. However the day we were scheduled to arrive we got a message that the dishwasher was broken, then we got a message that the freezer on refrigerator was also broken and that they had moved in a small second fridge for us to use for ice. The message said that we would get a 25$ a day rebate for the days it was broken. Then we found out the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms was broken. The repairman for the fan arrived mid-week but neither the fridge or dishwasher was fixed during our week-long stay. I've tried to contact Vacasa about the rebate but have received no answers.

Great stay!
The house is wonderful. Tons of space and a beautiful yard. It is in a great neighborhood. It was a very comfortable home that was perfect for a family. The tennis court was the cherry on top. The property manager was very good at providing helpful and timely communication/instructions. I would definitely recommend this home. We really enjoyed our stay.

Outdated but fun and comfortable house
We rented it for a family get together over thanksgiving. There’s lots of architectural and design quirks about this house, but it was great as a get together location. Lots of separate areas for gathering, well stocked kitchen, full functional outdoor kitchen, tennis courts, and more.

The house was clean big enough for all of us. The kids had plenty of things to do like tennis, basketball, pool table and lots of games. All the rooms were nice and very comfortable. This house had everything we needed. Would diffantly recommend to anyone.

Great place for a family to stay.
House was spacious and roomy with lots of outdoor spaces as well. Close to many beaches and the town of McKinleyville is very cute. One recommendation would be to bring towels of your own they did not leave us enough towels or extra garbage bags.

We needed 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and pet-friendly....this was perfect! Easy to get to , and easy to adventure from! Very comfortable, loved the deck and outdoor kitchen. Yard was not fenced, as they state. BUT, there is a little dog ramp down to a mostly enclosed area just off the deck!! Our Corgi-Shepherd loved it.

This property is perfect for our family. We were able to enjoy the outdoor area. It was close for a drive to the beach or to the Redwoods. In addition the property has been maintained nicely and was very clean.

We really enjoyed our stay! We used the deck and outdoor kitchen every day. The house is conveniently located for a short drive to the beach, Eureka and Trinidad. Cons were the ocean views are pretty distant and the gardener and a pest control person showed up without warning. Both were friendly, but it was a little startling.

Huge home and great location
House was perfect for our family. Loved having bedrooms and bathrooms for all. House was clean and quiet. Yard was maintained and worked well for our dog. The only aspect I would recommend changing is ensuring supplies are available for the stay. We stayed for a week and did not have garbage bags, dish soap, coffee filters, etc to last for the week. A store is close by so no issue in purchasing for our stay. One other note - the check in instructions advised there would be keys to the garage and back door (the front door is opened by code). There was only a key to the garage. This required only entering through the front. A couple of times we locked ourselves out in the backyard and had to go around front to get back in. While we called to notify vacasa at check in I’m surprised no one called us or offered to deliver the additional key.

We had 4 families meet up and there was plenty of room to roam and stuff to do. We had a great time. House was just what we needed. Only problems were the key code we were given only worked on the back door which no one warned us about so we thought we were locked out, and the property management company is impossible to get ahold of. Does not return emails, hour wait for phone calls, etc. Will never stay at a Vacasa property again.

Plenty of space
Our group of 10 had plenty of space to spread out in this beautiful and spacious home. Very nice home in a very nice neighborhood within walking distance of Six Rivers Brewery and a close drive to the coast. All of the rooms were nice so there was no squabbling about who gets the good or master bedroom. The outdoor kitchen was AWESOME! Tennis or basketball, your choice. We WILL be back!
