This is our newest vacation home in Massanutten and the one we actually use most often for our personal use. There are no bunk beds at this home! Everybody gets their own bed to sleep in at this home. Master bedroom downstairs with King size bed. Bedroom #2 - Queen, Bedroom #3 - Queen, Bedroom #4 - 4 single beds. The HD TVs have Roku boxes with DirecTVStream for regular channels. We have a variety of games and toys for kids of all ages, such as Big Outdoor Connect 4, Uno, Phase 10, and assortment of books and action figure sets. We have a dedicated Retro Atari spot upstairs attached to a dedicated HD TV with Retro Atari game system. We also added a standup Arcade cabinet in the living room in 2024 as well as 2 brand new couches. The bedrooms come with clean sheets already tucked in for you, and a towel and face cloth for each guest to use. We even have toothbrush holders by the sink. The bathtub and shower have shampoo, conditioner and body wash so you don't need to bring your own. You might want to bring your own pool towel if you plan on visiting the Massanutten Water Park, as they don't supply towels. There is also a bidet in the downstairs bathroom! TVs in the Living Room, Master Bedroom have DirecTV Stream. The TVs in the Big bedroom and 2 Queen bedroom TVs do not have DirecTV Stream, but do have other TV apps and you are welcome to login with your favorite app. The dining room table seats 8, and there's a tall chess table that comfortably seats 4 in the living room. Outside on the front patio is a gas bbq grill, dining table and chairs, and a huge Connect 4 standing game. In the backyard is a fire pit and rack of firewood. Most of the time you can arrive at the house before the 4pm posted time, unless it's busy, like summertime. If someone is checking out on your check-in day, we'll let you know if you need to wait until 4pm, the same with check-out. \* Sorry, we can not allow animals at this home, no matter how small or well trained because our kids have crazy allergies. Massanutten is truly a 4 season resort. Massanutten Resort has many great activities available to book online through their website. Massanutten offers skiing, snow and grass tubing, 2 golf courses, an award winning indoor/outdoor water park, mountain biking, ziplining, putt-putt, go-carts, There are also about 30 miles of hiking trails. Most Resort activities are available to our guests for an additional fee and should be booked online before your arrival, through Massanutten Resort's website. Book early as things sell out quickly during Covid. \*\*\* Massanutten Community Rules This home is in a private residential neighborhood and is part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA), governed by its rules and regulations. There are rental homes in all MPOA neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including families with children, retirees, second-home owners and other guests enjoying their retreat. NOISE • Quiet hours: 10 PM - 7 AM. • Keep noise indoors during these hours. • No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents. PARKING • Keep all tires off the road. • Don’t block fire hydrants or park in front of another property without written approval from your host. • Park only in designated areas or overflow lot 4007 Peak Dr., Massanutten, VA 22840 • No buses, campers, or RVs to be parked at homes or on roads. It was a short drive to visit campus and enjoy our favorite restaurants in Harrisonburg. Firefly Hideaway was very welcoming and provided a comfortable, spacious living area for us to spend time together without feeling like we were on to of each other. During our stay we enjoyed the extensive library, video games and outdoor games on the decks. The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking Easter brunch and dinner a breeze. I appreciated the communication with Marshal, the owner. He provided us with all the the information we needed prior to our arrival and was easily reached and responsive during our stay. We enjoyed our stay at Firefly Hideaway and would recommend to anyone that was looking for a getaway. The home is tastefully decorated and very clean. Everything is at your finger tips in this "home away from home". You can tell they are fantastic property owners. The house was incredibly well furnished, with comfortable furniture, kitchen items, plenty of seating, and small comforting touches like books (including children's books), games, and smart TVs. The property was immaculate and we enjoyed every bit of it including the front and back deck with the oversized connect four set, fire pit, and cute walkways through the woods. Marshall was a fantastic host. We were in a bind and immediately needed accommodating. He was able to accommodate us within 30 mins. He provided calm, professionalism, and hospitality in our time of need. Our trip was going to be a very big letdown until he came to the rescue.
