Nice cabin with all amenities. Loved the firepit and woods surrounding. Steep hike down to the creek, but worth it.

Cozy little get away
Cozy little cabin perfect for two. When we arrived, the place was freezing, the cleaners had not turned up the thermostat. Also, the hot tub had been drained and maintenance had to come out and fill, so that wasn’t useful the first night. The cabin was set off some very narrow roads but wasn’t too far from great eating places. If you are wanting to get away from the noise, this place is great!

Nice cabin but…….
The actual cabin/structure itself was stunning and very comfortable. The gravel road though was extremely narrow and the driveway was a night mare. Especially for a full size pick up truck. Had to back down the driveway after having to do an 80 point turn around the 1st time.
The temp dropped into the 30’s so being able to use the fireplace would have been awesome. But…. It would not light. Went outside to try to use the fire pit but it was full of ashes and unusable due to the amount of debris left.
Overall it was a nice cabin but not very convenient to get in and out of.
The down town area was nice and we had a lot of fun there. Nice, but won’t go back.
Perfect size for us and our two toddlers. Even our golden. There were so many extras provided in the kitchen and upon arrival that if we forgot anything chances are we’d be in luck regardless. This was a very last minute booking for us so not the usual Mountain View we look for but truly I was impressed with this listing.

It was ok
Check in was not ok. We waited for almost an hour for someone to let us in because the property manager did not provide access codes. You pay extra for a hot tub that is poorly maintained and does not work correctly. 85% of the lights on porch are burnt out.
Fell through the steps leading to the creek as they were rotten. It definitely isn’t worth all the additional fees that are added to the rental.
Cabin was definitely in a more remote area than anticipated; the road leading up to the cabin is not paved, has fairly deep ruts and is suited to cars that are lifted and with high profile tires. The hill leading into the property is also extremely steep and will cause most front bumpers to scrape. Having this in the advertisement would be strongly recommended.
The other issue to be aware of is that the cabin has European hornets. They're not aggressive but certainly off-putting and very large. These are active at night and hung out near the ceiling light right outside the cabin door. Another thing that should absolutely be mentioned in the listing description.
Minus the hornets and unpaved road, everything else was lovely.

Beautiful cabin but small things make a BIG impact especially when a family is looking forward to getting away and trusting that when using Vacasa, a thorough walk through and attention to detail will be completed prior to arrival.
1. Dirty Paper products and cans on grounds
2. The fireplace in the cabin didn’t work - a retired fireman was present so YES everything was attempted
3. Previous guests had items still in the cabin and we contacted them as these were very personal items and they were so thankful.
4. Rotten wood on / under porch, broken / unstable rail going down stairs (we had a handicapped family member with us so this didn’t help)
5. The driveway needs graded - we had to be extremely careful getting in and out
6. We emailed with a representative prior to explaining it was a birthday and requested a couple of things be there at arrival (at our cost of course) and she told us it was no problem. Nothing was there when we arrived.
7. The fire pit had not been cleaned out nor any firewood available for a fire (every cabin we have stayed at has at least had some starter wood as people arrive late evenings
8. Blankets / bed items in closet need to be washed and cleaned prior to a new guest arrival and not assumed they “weren’t used”
The owners put a lot of TLC and detail into making the cabin nice but it looks like property management has failed them. We haven’t had a poor turn out like we did this time when using Vacasa and it was very disappointing as we needed this to be special for a family member and definitely safe for her. We hope someone will call us about this stay and also notify the owners that this was unacceptable. Sad to report this review as we haven’t had this experience before but it is necessary. When you pay for an experience and time with family, the product should reflect what is advertised and the property management team should have notified back if they weren’t going to follow through.

Not what it seems, and not clean
We were very disappointed with this property. It’s rather small, but the pictures make it look much larger. You walk into a small kitchen and small living room, then there are 2 bedrooms, that’s it.
The outside was pretty dirty. There was garbage all over the driveway when we pulled in. The porch was full of debris and leaves.
The creek is a long steep walk. Not much river bank to use. The lower level lights were on a timer so could not turn on/off.
The camera On the porch kept taking photos of us.
Also, do not use google/Apple Maps to get there. Use the written directions.
Nice and clean place to stay. Nice views over looking the river. Kinda difficult to find and the roads are rough. But for the price and location to mccaysville, Ga and copperhill, Tn you can’t beat it. Very quiet and peaceful. No traffic at all
This was the first time since I completed my breast cancer journey 3 years ago that my husband and two teens got away ffor vacation. This was exactly what we needed. This property is beautiful. The boys and I enjoyed the trip down to the river multiple times. Kept them off their electronics and me spending time with them. The fire pit is in the perfect spot. We even enjoyed the hot tub.
The cabin and property truly is amazing. We enjoyed our stay and did not want to come home.
Nice house with a great view. We really enjoyed the secluded home and the use of the fire pit in the yard. Especially liked the rocking chairs on the front porch.
Stayed here for a couple of days, it was so relaxing and secluded. The hot tub was bomb! This cabin was beyond clean and had everything you could think of, from pots and pans to even games to play! Thank you David (owner) and vacasa for this wonderful retreat! We will be back soon!
This place was so clean and nice! Everything was as expected. Great place to stay.

Little Cabin on the Creek
The cleanest cabin I’ve ever stayed in. This cabin had everything anyone would ever need. We needed a screwdriver and a fan, the cabin had those things not to mention many fresh towels, a well stocked kitchen, plenty of laundry detergent and bathroom supplies. We loved the creek. It was an adventurous walk down and back but it was fun and beautiful. The beds were comfy. It was a little interesting opening the door since there’s a lockbox and a keypad. The bed in the loft was only accessible by young children but overall one of the best cabins I’ve ever stayed in.

My wife and I stayed here for a short anniversary trip and really enjoyed ourselves. The hill down to the creek is quite more steep than it appears in the picture, however, this is of no consequence to how awesome and clean the cabin overall was. Really enjoyed our stay!

We loved this cabin. It was so clean and so nice! We loved sitting outside listening to the water and the hot tub was fabulous. The perfect getaway. It`s close to Mercier Orchards as well and we got our apple butter fix too. Thank you for a wonderful and romantic weekend.
