Terrible place
The rooms were trash all over the floorsand the beds had no sheets on them and the toilet was stopped up. I had to cancel my reservation and stay somewhere else.they said they would refund me but the charged me a second time days later never giving me a refund for the 1st time.

The stool was filthy. The first room had a large amount of poop under the stool seat and pee on the stool rim. I asked for a second room and it had the same thing. The second room had a fresh stain on the sheet. The property was nice enough and there was a great restaurant next door but the bathroom and linen were filthy.

Could Have Been Better
I chose this hotel because of the Retro decorated lobby in the pictures but I learned when I arrived that the Retro pictures are not current. The hotel is in a renovation project that was nowhere near complete. My room had 25% of the curtains falling off the rack; I had to try to put them back on the wall without any connectors. The bed did not have any top sheet or bedspread. Their washing machine was broken and they had just gotten it fixed that day so I didn't get my towels until 7:00 PM. The hall from the parking lot to the rooms was not locked. On the Pro Side, the room was clean, quiet and in a safe location and the price was way below their competitors. For a One Night stay, I would stay there again but for a 7 Night stay, I would look into staying somewhere else.

Property management need training . The environment is in bad shape. Nothing would make me stay here ever again. Bathroom had bugs dead on floor. Light shade was on top of vanity. Towel not washed and smell dirty. No soap. People yelling at night. Doors being slammed all night. Management would not to do anything about it. Just overall this location has won the worst of the worst.

Arrived to find nobody at the desk. Had to call. Was told no rooms available even though I reserved and paid for a room. Was told I could have a room but it didn’t lock. Overall terrible experience.

Julie at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. They are remodeling and the first room we got had a smell that, we believe, was coming from the housekeeping area, 2 doors down. She moved us further away and the smell was gone. Once the remodeling is complete it will be a good place to stay.

They did not have our reservation. Place looked horrible, But the staff was helpful and helped us find another place to stay, friendly kept apologizing for the mishap and the shortage of workers to keep the place neat and clean.

This place should be shut down. The listing said there would be a fridge etc. but there wasn’t. It’s like they are remodeling and still trying to rent out the crappy rooms.

Everything was stained the hotel and rooms looked nothing like the provided photos i was told that there is no longer a pool after checking in the room looked like a segregation cell than a hotel room the lobby was run down laundry and vending machines were all out of order overall cleanliness was very poor most likely will not stay there again

Horrible motel 6
The 1st room i was given 218 had a broken box spring and stained sheets. 2nd room 216 had a horrible appearance. The walls weren't finished with the decor and the mattress should have been given to a trash dumpster 10yrs ago. I couldn't sleep most of the night because of the mattress being so uncomfortable... I had see a chiropractor when i got home the next day... I wouldn't recommend thia motel 6 to anyone.

First off I’m not a picky traveler but the Place smells musty from the start, the key the staff gave me didn’t work as programmed that they had to give me a new key and move me to a new room. In the room it smelled like smoke and the shower had black mold growing, the shower liner was orange from the mildew and the towels had visible stains it makes me wonder whether they had been washed, the bathroom light worked when it felt like it. The bed linens were soiled, the wifi didn’t work while I was there and there was about 5 roaches grasshoppers hanging out in the room, not to mention the other guests were allowed to walk around under the influence and shirtless , lots of loitering outside made me feel extremely unsafe.

Beware inside hotel looks nothing like pictures!!
The current owner is using old pictures which is the reason we chose this hotel. We walked in to a bare lobby. The first room the mattress was very soiled the sheets had body hair. The curtains were falling down, the knob cover to the adjoining door was moved over and we could see into the other room. The mini fridge had not been cleaned out and had old food in it. They moved us to the other building which looks nothing like the pictures. There was Sheetrock dust all over the floor under the TV and on the desk area. The beds were still bad. The shower looked filthy covered with soap scum and had hair in it.The sink faucet was dirty. The towels were so stained they looked dirty and no wash cloths. It is was overall a horrible experience. When we told the desk person how gross the hotel was he did not say a word just kept typing. Will never stay here again. Beware. The pictures need to be taken down and the owner needs to advise that the hotel has a new owner and is being changed. I wish I had taken pictures but was too shocked and it was late.

We are sorry for the confusion but Happy Days no longer exists and everywhere it's posted as Motel 6. We also have Big flat screen tv in lobby with the weather channel on per brand standards and lounge area with tables and chairs in lobby and vending machines. The rooms are the same as the photos online only upgrades we have done are replace carpet with wooden floors so far. The room was inspected by management during your stay and no curtains where falling down and you can not see into other room cause there is another door in the way. No food was found in your fridge during a inspection of the room with you in the room. Even after we could find no of the items you told hotel staff management still upgraded you to brand new suites. That included island kitchen new big screen tv's brand new beds and pillows. And front desk staff did take your complaint serious and brought it to management on duty and management spoke to you and offered you a free upgrade to our brand new suites just opened in February 2023. We also have a banner upfront that is also lighted up at night that says under new management and signs all over the building say Motel 6 and not Happy Days. We will like to offer you a free night stay to see all the upgrades the property has received since being taken over by motel 6. We will keep the light on for you.

The website mentions a pool and displays pictures of a pool. It was late June and the pool was not open. The staff was friendly. Decent food at the diner right on the lot. AC works great. Great price. Not perfect but we're not sorry we stayed.

Checked into 4 rooms before they could find us one that had blankets on the beds and didnt have pee on the beds, deodorant stick in the bed, or a broken door handle that wouldnt let us in the room. They also couldnt find our reservation through expedia and tried to double charge me. Everyone had an attitude...still qaiting for a room an hour later at midnight for my kids..

We at Motel 6 south would like to apologize for your experience last night while staying at our hotel. We understand that one of our rooms failed to live up to Motel 6 and our standards, due to a dog being in that room the previous night. And we have shut down the room and we will be doing a deep cleaning of the room. We also understand that management was called and front desk staff moved you to another room. Management arrived on property 15 mins after you being moved in the middle of the night. Management was not able to find any problems in any of the rooms beyond a dog smell in first room which we really apologize for and management was willing to offer you a upgrade to our newly renovated suites but you had left. For failing to live up to Motel 6 brand standards we would love to offer you a free night stay to try us again and apologize for your inconvenience.

We would like to apologize for any problems during your stay. We have brand new sheets in all rooms no sheet is older than 3 months. We can provide all receipts on request from HDsupply our vendor. Per Management all sheets from previous owner where thrown out on March 2023 and replaced with all new sheets. We are the only hotel in our region Fully staffed and provide 24/7 maintenance and Management is on call 24/7. Everything in Hotel from alarm clocks to beds, tv's are only 3 months old. Upon request we can provide you receipts. So please give us another try we have only been brand new for 3 months.

Amusing hotel in McAlester
This little hotel is decorated in the style of the 1950's and 60's with numerous posters of the stars of yester year. My room had an Elvis theme, my aunt's had a Marilyn theme. The rooms were small but well-designed. The shelf running across the wall with the air con was very handy.

Bed sheets are old disgusting, pillows are stinky
Room air conditioner wasn’t working properly not cool enough to a comfortable temperature. It was very noisy. Room has musty smell, bed sheets are worn out and never replaced after the previous many hotel guests. Pillows are dirty and stinky from previous hotel guests’ BO.
