I booked a room at this hotel after a 16hr day of driving. All I wanted was a hot shower, to watch some TV, and decent WiFi before getting some rest. Every other hotel in the area was half the price as this one, so I spent the extra cash expecting that all the amenities advertised were included in the booking. I was wrong. The TV in my room had blown speakers and just sounded like screeching. The shower had intermittent hot water. I try to log onto the WiFi to do some work, no dice. By this time it’s midnight, I’m annoyed, and just think I’ll talk to a manager in the morning. The next day I wake up and head straight to the concierge desk to voice my frustration. I should mention that I am rarely one to complain or ask for any compensation. I don’t sweat small stuff 90% of the time. This would be the case if I had paid to stay in a $70/night hotel. But I didn’t. I paid $150 on a Tuesday to sleep in Murray, KY. All I expected was what I had paid for; a room with basic amenities. After explaining my situation to staff about all the broken stuff in my room, all she said was “Why didn’t come down here at midnight and tell me?” I asked “What does it matter if I told you last night or this morning? All those problems still occurred and I didn’t have the energy to stay up for another hour or two while you change the TV, check the hot water heater, and reboot the WiFi.” “I’m sorry sir there’s nothing I can do for you.” Very disappointed. Do not waste your money here!
