"What a lovely spot this is! It's well worth the 5-hour ferry from Nadi to get all the way out to Nacula Island, and Oarsman's Bay was a delight. Cutest little blue cottages, hammocks, outdoor showers, reserved lawn chairs out along the ocean, and of course gorgeous views of the clearest, prettiest, bluest bay imaginable. A great place to come to get away from it all. The fact that Oarsman's is adult's-only meant that it was quiet, peaceful, and relaxed. It barely felt like other people were there. They also did a nice job of offering low-key activities if you didn't want to be 100% lazy. Super nice and friendly staff, decent food, some lovely live music at dinner time. I stayed there solo for 5 nights and could have happily stayed long. Strong recommend!"
"It isn’t one of the super flash resorts you can find, with pristine build quality and sanitised customer service, but it is rustic, remote, warm (climate and people) and thoroughly relaxing. The people are disarming and genuine, and brilliant. It was like being home and in a tropical paradise, somewhere for your soul to find rest. I recommend Nanuya Resort wholeheartedly."
"The Fijian people were wonderful! We spent only 3 nights as an add-on to a dive vacation so we snorkeled right off the beach and it was amazing! The reef was very healthy and saw plenty of fish, live soft coral and even a Crown of Thorns starfish. We stayed in the beachfront villa and was very happy with everything, the aircon, outdoor bathroom and the front deck. The only notable discomfort was the sharp tile around the shower. Food in the restaurant was very very good and with plenty of variety. Portions were generous the fresh drinking water was delicious. WIfi was good in most parts of the resort, but I was there to unplug. The stairs leading to the restaurant were a bit challenging when it was raining so wear shoes with good traction.
I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to escape from the ratrace. "
"This resort is a must if you travel to Fiji. We visited 2 years ago and knew we wanted to return. The staff is our Fiji family. Each individual cottage is so well built and maintained. Manassas and his wife Wati are the original builders and both still stay active at the resort. I encourage travelers to not just stay on the main island, but discover the surrounding islands."
