The room was very clean but the bed was hard..did not have great sleep. And the reception staff seemed resistant speaking English

This property was absolutely amazing. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The property was stunning. The room was fantastic. This place is paradise.

The hotel was nice enough and we enjoyed walking the trails to the waterfall. However, I would NOT recommend this hotel, particularly the Villa Prima Mountain View suite. We were kept awake by multiple dogs barking nearby for several hours and spoke to the front desk about the problem twice before being given a different room to sleep in. There were no fans available in the room for white noise and despite the windows being closed, we could hear sounds from outside very loudly. This was a big disruption to our stay as we were just there for one night before our flight out of San Jose. Staff were apologetic but not proactive.
We were also charged $72 for three margaritas at dinner, $10/drink for the margarita mix plus $14/drink for Don Julio tequila.

"The hotel can be challenging if you have mobility issues as there are no elevators but they have carts if you need them on the steep inclines. Good location, beach is nice and not as hard to get to as some reviews said. Breakfast was great and included. Meals were good but I recommend venturing out ..."
