The resort is very family friendly! Many parks, pools, so many activities! We had deer outside of our place daily it was great! The views were amazing. The only bad review is the cleanliness. I mean the walls were dirty, many cobwebs/dust. The floor needed a vacuum when we got there. A dead roach welcomed me when we walked into one of the rooms. They have a checkout checklist of things you need to do. I completely understand cleaning up after selves but it would be nice if the resort would make sure these villas are clean!

I love Massanutten, the fresh air the view of the mountains the closeness of the caverns and shenandoa parks, skyline drive is a great asset to such a great community. The resort itself is very clean, comfy and they have really thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The downstairs bathroom doesn’t have ventilation.
The balcony wasn’t clean
Outside dust, dry leaves, many used cigarettes on ground.

We love going to Massanutten, but… don’t waste money on the water park until they’ve finished renovating. Full price for half a park… obviously the outdoor portion is closed this time of year, but half of the indoor slides were closed, hot tub was closed as well and the price was not reduced during this time.
Also, the activity schedule is more for “wine moms” to waste time while the husband is golfing. They don’t seem to offer much for the kids. The adventure park is “meh” and overpriced as well.

We were in town to hike in Shenandoah, but there is such an array of amenities for everyone. Golfing, pools, arcades, etc. It’s a wonderful place. We especially enjoyed some locally owned breweries and restaurants near Massanutten and in Elkton, just 15 minutes away.
