"A very pleasant and convenient base for a short Dorset stay. Room very clean and comfortable and usefully a restaurant and bar on site if you didn't want to go out to eat. Good comprehensive breakfast offering too, Our room did look out over adjacent building rooftops -not great - maybe request more open view room. There was a very active mini race track adjacent too but noise stopped early evening - you can see that on Google Earth. Overall, with great staff and good value we would use again happily"

"The hotel is lovely, very attractive main entrance and lobby. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and overall it was very clean in the room and public areas. The spa facilities were really good, we loves the courtyard with the large hot tub. Only small grumbles about the room were the lack of curtains and no decaf coffee, the bed was super comfy and the bathroom was modern and clean. The bistro food and hot drinks are very overpriced for what they are, a salad with a very small amount of topping were £15 and a small cup of coffee was £5. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would go back."

"Nice quiet hotel in a small village. The pub and restaurant was good. staff was very helpful and provided good service. We went during the heat wave of July 2026 and they did not have air conditioning but the ceiling fan did its job. any other stay that is not the heat wave should be fine with the English country air."
