Furthermore, the new owners wanted to preserve the guesthouse’s character by keeping certain items from the former owner’s travels—notably to Africa and Qatar—which add a subtle touch of exoticism. Carefully renovated, the house offers a harmonious balance between modern comfort and old-world charm: stone walls, period-style open spaces, and warm décor come together to create a welcoming setting. A small, intimate courtyard is perfect for enjoying meals al fresco. Ideally located just a stone’s throw from shops, restaurants, and cafés, Le 111 is the perfect starting point for exploring Martel’s medieval streets, its famous towers, and its market. The surrounding area also offers a variety of activities, including hiking, canoeing, and visits to iconic sites in the Lot and Dordogne regions: a stay that blends history, exploration, and the good life.
