"The property is disgusting which we kind of expected from the reviews, we were only staying for 1 night so thought we'd take the risk, we definitely wouldn't have wanted to stay longer than 1 night though! The area was lovely, kept the kids busy all day with a bouncy castle, beach and park, unfortunately the water slide wasn't open though. The restaurant and staff were really friendly and helpful. "

"Great location within a small square with cafes, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Public car park next to hotel which is free from 19:00 - 09:15 and not expensive during other times. We didn’t book breakfast but decided to have it. Such a good decision as breakfast was really good with almost too much of a selection. Pastries, breads, cereals, cheeses, hams, salmon, eggs, bacon, juices and much more."

"The Hotel is located over the river from Chinon, so a good location for visiting the town and exploring the area. There are 3 parking places outside the hotel but there is a secured off-site car park for hotel guests a short distance away. We visited during the very hot weather in June 26 and our room was very warm at night as a consequence, an electric fan is provided which we had running all night. The breakfast is traditional French fare and very good quality. There is also a courtyard garden which is ideal for relaxing in or taking your breakfast. There is a wide choice of restaurants available in Chinon and we used Bistrot Fauve in the main square, which is associated with the hotel."

"Bonjour accueil était très bien et l'état des lieu bien expliqué Le gite était très bien , propre et en bon état pour notre famille de 9 adultes et 6 enfants Piscine très bien et propre pour 15 personnesL'intérieur ,les chambres sont parfaitement dimensionnées et les douches italiennes bien agencées , la cuisine bien mais manque un peu de place pour poser les plats la salle a manger grandiose et le salon correct , la télévision est peut être trop éloignée du salon Et le jardin super pour manger et jouer Je recommande très vivement ce gite Amicalement"

"Staff was great; kind and very helpful. They offered a free buffet breakfast which was ample and good. The room, although a bit dated, was clean, comfortable and in working order. The location is on the Loire du Velo bike trail, near vineyards and wineries and less than 10 minutes from Chinon city center. Realize that this is an old manor so enjoy the charm and ambiance. "
