We stayed for 10 days and highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a great location It's near the Velodrome, local restaurants, steps from transit stops and within a 35 minute walk of the Old Port. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure.

It was pretty good. The property has a few things that need fixing but it was a pretty good experience. The first girl I spoke to didn’t speak English so I had to really pay attention.

Great city

The hotel room was excellent, the staff at reception were helpful, especially Sakina, and the young Algerian woman with short hair was extremely helpful. There is air conditioning in the room, there is cooking facilibilties available, I didn't take advantage of them, as its a holiday, I don't wish to cook, but it's available, with pots, pans cutlery at your disposal. Near Pèrier metro stop, supermarket close by 5 mins walk, a few takeways nearby, easy to get to VIeux Port main tourist area. Lots to see and do. Prices for shopping are cheaper than Paris. Prices for metro are cheaper than London, all in all I enjoyed Marseille, will visit in the near future

Not as expected

The room was much older looking than the pictures. I did get a lovely view of the garden. But, the walls were full of marks. The bathroom seemed clean as well as the bedsheets but there was mold growing on the grout around the shower. The drawers in the bathroom were broken and hard to open. The small kitchen area was inside a closet which doors were hard to open and were dragging along the floor.

Park in the street instead of using their parking, there’s always a car illegally parked in front of the door, you could end up waiting for hours until the car moves, or waiting long as well in order to get in the parking.

The room I was assigned was so dirty that I had to tell reception who sent a cleaning lady in. Total lack of attention to basics necessities and details. The hand soap dispenser was empty, the bath panel had traces of dirt that were reminiscent of blood stains. The microwave was filthy inside and out (the door & handle) There were some food splashes on the wall, the dishes were not clean. The fridge door and shelves were dirty and crooked (hinges damaged) On the plus side: the room was spacious, bright and airy with large windows and adjustable shutters. The large bed was comfortable.

Nous avions réservé cet hotel car nous avions un spectacle à l’Orange Vélodrome! Que de déception. Un endroit beaucoup trop cher pour ce qui est offert 18 euros pour manger des rôties que j’ai du tartiner avec une cuillère car aucun couteau disponible et ce deux matins de suite! Des croissants écrasés, des oeufs brouillés et de drôles de saucisses si vous êtes levés assez tôt. Ceci dit il peut être facile de se lever tôt car le lit double que nous avions était en fait deux lits jumeaux liés entre eux par le drap contour donc chaque fois que nous bougions nous prenions le risque que le lit se sépare et que l’on chute entre les deux. Et pour la douche un rideau trop long, mal installé et couvert de résidus de savon. Rien pour nous inciter à y retourner. Dommage car notre spectacle était vraiment bien!
