Clean, airconditioning, okay. But the water in the toilet keeps running. On arrival the young guy at the counter tried to deny me to see the room; I'd have to pay first since I "had booked" this. This was then corrected by his colleagues who showed me two rooms to chose from. But this is exactly the cold welcome the traveller does want. Man ist höflich und fängt unwillkürlich an, auch den Clochard der in dieser Straße lebt zu grüßen, spätestens, wenn man das dritte mal an ihm vorbei geht. Das Team ist wirklich sehr freundlich und sie haben sich um alle Anliegen innerhalb von Minuten gekümmert. Man ist direkt mitten im Geschehen und in Minuten am alten Hafen. Warning: From the busy street (La Canebiere) to the hotel building, there is a 70m pedestrian-only walkway (rue du théatre Français) with some homeless guys sleeping day and night; also smell of urine and faeces on ground.
