We couldn't have picked a better place for our mountain vacation. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had more than enough room for our entire group to spread out. Whether someone wanted a quiet place to read or everyone wanted to gather for meals and games, the home accommodated it all with ease. The weather didn't cooperate during our visit, but that ended up being part of the charm. We spent our time enjoying the cozy atmosphere indoors, playing games, sharing laughs, and watching the fog roll through the mountains. Our dogs loved exploring the porches and relaxing outside whenever the rain let up.Despite feeling tucked away in the mountains, we never felt isolated. Picking up groceries was easy with stores in Mars Hill, and Weaverville is a short drive away if you need additional shopping options like Walmart. Asheville was also close enough for a scenic day trip.If it's your first time visiting, just know the final approach to the cabin is a steep gravel climb. The rest of the drive is straightforward, but a vehicle with all-wheel or four-wheel drive and good ground clearance will make the last section much easier.Communication with the host was outstanding from beginning to end. Every question was answered promptly, and everything about the stay was exactly as described. We'd gladly return and recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain escape.
