During my stay in NYC I couldn’t have stayed at a better place. Even though guests share the bathroom, it was not a big deal and the staff were very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay there again.

Three night stay. In the heart of the Theater District. We were in NYC to see shows and if that’s your goal, this is a good and safe hotel. It lacks amenities like on site food. But there is a great food, coffee, sundry place steps away that I went to often. We didn’t have a coffee maker but did have a microwave and fridge. Room needed a dresser but had a big closet with two luggage racks and LOTS of hangers. Room had a safe. Big bathroom. Bed was adequate. Two working and fast elevators. My point, if your going to NYC to spend lots of time in your hotel room, it’s probably not your spot. If your going NYC to have lots of fun and looking for a great location, safe and a good price, book the Hotel St. James. The front desk staff are professional yet delightfully quirky. I’d book again.
