Located just 36 miles from Yosemite National Park and 26 miles from Bass Lake, our charming farmhouse sits on 10 private woodland acres in beautiful Mariposa. This is more than a place to sleep — it’s a hands-on farm experience designed to slow down, explore, and make lasting family memories. Children absolutely love meeting our friendly miniature donkeys, sheep, goats, emus, and water buffalo. As a working farm, guests are welcome to interact with many of the animals, creating the kind of moments you just can’t get in the city. It’s common to see deer wandering through the property, adding to the magic of the mountain setting. There’s plenty of room for kids to run, explore, and play across all 10 acres. Let them unplug, breathe fresh air, and experience nature up close while you relax and take in the beautiful mountain views. We truly enjoyed our stay at this property! We stayed with 3 generations: my parents, my partner and I, and our 2 year old twins. The house itself was clean and well-equipped, and the hosts were so lovely and communication was top notch. We were given a tour of the property and all of the host's animals on the day we arrived, and we had lovely visitors of a cat, donkeys, goat, sheep, and dogs every day (which my 2 year old twins absolutely loved!) It was a great location from which to explore Yosemite - we did Mariposa Grove and swimming nearby, followed by Tunnel View and Bridalveil falls the following day, both 1-1.5 hours away. The hosts were very responsive to any questions, and the rural location was quiet and private. The pictures don't do it justice. The coolest rental. When I wasn't spending my time wandering around Yosemite or the Sierra National Forest I spent my time wandering around the beautiful property grounds. I sat in random places and got to know the animals. This rental was the best. So peaceful yet so fulfilling. I don't often return to places, but I really hope to come back. This place did not disappoint. As others had mentioned, we were met with a group of goats and donkeys and our boys (age 11 and 6) just lit up. They absolutely fell in love with the cats too. It was fun walking the property with my boys before heading off to bed. The hosts here are amazing and were so gracious and helpful during our stay. This place had everything we needed and more. The only complaint is we didn't have enough time! We visited Yosemite but stopped to see Bass Lake on our way home and now I wish we could have stayed one more night to spend time there too. On our way to Yosemite, there were a lot of deer right on the road as we left the house. Such a beautiful location. Thank you! ##### Jennifer B.
