It's more or less equidistant from the west and south entrances to the park. The kitchen was a little light on items, but we made it work - you're not really cooking a 4-star meal when you're on vacay anyway. The place is very nice, beautiful view, love the kitchen, bed was very comfy. We really loved it until we found cockroaches in the restroom. It make it very uncomfortable to sleep or used the restroom as we kept thinking about them. We made sure to keep everything off the floor but had to checked the bags again before we left, just to make sure. I'm sure it's not the owners fault, we can tell they take great pride in trying to keep it clean and care for the guest. We noticed them outside so I'm sure that's were the problem is. Nevertheless, it was lovely with the exemption of the bugs. When we go back to Yosemite again, we may try again but will want to make sure they have been 100% taken care of first. The cottage is at the top of San Francisco type hill, so have a car or be a good walker. It is an hour, by car, from the park. Covered parking. Not far from beer, restaurants and window shopping. Check out the Health Food Store down the street. Great prepared food and groceries. We will be back. ##### Beth W. We had an epic vacation & hope we can come back to Yosemite again someday (we will definitely stay at this rental again if so)! ##### Claire H. We loved our stay at the cottage. It was very clean upon our arrival and the host was very sweet and communicative. The scenic drive to/from Yosemite Valley is roughly 1.5 hours (in January).
