We spent the evenings playing cards and board games and watching movies from the dvd library. It was a little chilly on our trip but we also made use of the deck out back. During the day we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the mountains. Linville Falls hiking area is literally just down the road. The accommodations here were exactly what we needed. The home is charmingly decorated with bear accents all over. There was easy access in and out. I really don’t have anything bad to say. It was a very cozy cottage with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The back porch is entirely fenced in so our dogs could hang out with us and the outdoor room is great for having breakfast and sitting out and enjoying yourself in the evening with a nice cold drink. The only thing I will say is I want to reiterate what the owner said about internet. Even using their wifi the Internet can be very spotty and very hard to pull up even simple websites. It's totally understandable given where it is located but living in the "city" can make you forget what lack of internet really is. Just plan for it. ##### mike b.
