#### At the esplanade’s southern tip stands a modern harbour with excellent dining options, stunning views and modern amenities for boat owners.

The Marina Cortez is a charming harbor equipped with a few restaurants and countless sails of boats. It marks the southwestern end of the Malecón boardwalk and its accompanying sandy strand. Make your way along the docks and pick out your favorites from the yachts, speed boats and sailing vessels.

Walk south from the Malecón Kiosk for about 15 minutes to get here, appreciating the stunning coastal views along the way. You’ll also pass a number of sculptures and monuments.

The marina, which contains more than 50 spaces for boats, is sheltered by a serene cove. Admire the variety of colors and materials making up the vessels. Watch the sunset turn the sky red and provide a backdrop for silhouettes of the boats.

Myriad restaurants surround the port, offering local seafood in multiple specialties. Sit at one of the tables on the terraces overlooking the water and boats or watch a game at the sports bar. Consider bringing food and wine for a picnic in this romantic marina. After dinner go for an evening stroll between the trees, which are encased in beads of light.

Pay a daily fee to moor your boat here or access the harbor and its restaurants on foot for free. If you choose to moor your boat in the harbor, you can use the electricity and water for a fee. In the morning go for a jog or leisurely stroll along the Malecón.

Notice how the marina has a sleek and practical design, with palm trees lining the docks. Architects designed the harbor with innovative anchoring systems.

The Marina Cortez sticks out slightly from the coastline of La Paz, overlooking the Gulf of California. It is just southwest of the Zona Comercial area and its lively Malecón Kiosk. Visit nearby sights such as the Torre del Vigía, the *Paraíso del Mar* sculpture and Cuauhtémoc Park.

The rooms need some attention, very dated but more concerning is the cleanliness. Really need a good deep clean with walls, light switches, flooring and counter surfaces being dirty. The grounds of resort are beautiful, food is great and staff is friendly!

My stay was ok. The rooms were nice but the balcony could use a little more maintenance. The hot tub on the balcony took a long time for the water to fill up and the sound was extremely loud. Check in was a bit challenging. I showed confirmation to the employee of the amount that I was to pay at the property which was $13.26 but instead I was charged $240MX ($13.84 USD). I really wasn't in the mood to address it due to the employee had charged my credit card then canceled after realizing the mistake she made. I gave her some grace but it doesn't take away that I was will overcharged by 58 cent. Next, I get to my room & didn't realize there were no wash clothes in the bathroom. So the next day, I asked one of the cleaning staff members for some wash clothes, however, that was challenging as well due to the language barrier. It was just alot going on but it worked out having to use my translator on my phone. As far as the drinks, those were really good but I have to pass on the food as it wasn't all that great to me. Also, when attempting to get a blue towel for me to go near the pool, the employee acted as if he didn't want to give me a towel due to the wrist band I had on which was for Alititude. I didn't have no issue the previous day getting a towel and I wasn't aware that I needed to go somewhere else to get a towel. I was very frustrated with that and still received the towel.The beach was nice, the entertainment was good and I liked the swings.
