I did not have a very good stay here, to the extent that I checked out early. I should have read more thoroughly that the room that I had booked had no Aircon, the fan provided was not a good substitute and when I checked in, it was clear efforts had been made to cool the room down by opening the windows but this had resulted in bugs being in the room . When I stepped out on the balcony, this was in need of repair. I did not feel comfortable using it again. I headed down to the spa area and wanted to just relax but it is not a relaxing as I hoped. The hotel is full of artwork which in some places is odd and not in any way relaxing. I would stress that the hotel needs to get rid of a lot of it, it does not fit at all with the current luxury status that is advertised. I got told that dinner was only possible if I booked and it . I wasn't a la carte. I ended up heading out. The hotel is up a hill so be prepared for a walk to identify any other options. By the time I went to bed, the room was incredibly warm even with the fan and I didn't get much sleep. I checked out after breakfast the following morning a day early because the overall atmosphere of the stay was ruined and I wanted to move on to my next location and forget the entire stay. When I did so I had a member of staff become quite defensive,I appreciate that they don't advertise all rooms have Aircon but when you're paying at this price, it's not a pleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel.
