Montgomery Bay Lodge On Lake Gogebic

Montgomery Bay Lodge is a 4,000 sq ft fully furnished, four bedroom, three bath property with wraparound deck that sleeps 10 comfortably. It offers a rustic feel with log siding and extensive woodwork, yet all of the modern conveniences of a newly built home.

The lodge layout includes two bedrooms & full bath on the main floor (1 Queen & 2 Twins), a master suite in the loft (1 King, full bath), and a huge fourth bedroom and full bath in the walkout basement (1 Queen, 2 twins).

The main floor includes a spacious living & dining area overlooking Lake Gogebic through a wall of windows. Gourmet kitchen with cherry cabinets, island with seating for three, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Full size laundry facilities are available in the master suite.

A finished, walkout basement offers a spacious recreation area including flat screen TV, table / chairs, and dry bar with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.

The grounds cover nearly 8 acres of wooded terrain, 400 ft of frontage on Lake Gogebic, a pier with swim ladder and electric boat hoist, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and watching the sunset.

Enjoy WiFi internet and 4G LTE signal throughout the house enabling calls and internet access from your smartphone.

Direct access to groomed Snowmobile & ATV trails at the end of the driveway. Public boat launch, gas, and restaurant / bar all within 1 mile of the property.

Three couples trailered our side-by-sides 9 hours to stay for 6 days of fun. Weather didn’t cooperate as much as we’d like but we still had a good time. Minor issues on the property requires some attention…but nothing major. This is a beautiful and comfortable home. The owners are extremely responsive with any/all questions. We are looking forward to booking again for next year.

Spacious and private, clean and comfortable. The lake is beautiful for swimming, boating, and fishing. Easy access to lots of hiking trails and other nearby attractions, great home base for anything you want to do in the western UP. Great communication from the owner with check in/ out instructions and comprehensive guide to the area that was sent ahead of time. We were there just as a family of 4 but there was plenty of space for larger groups

The Lodge

The Lodge did not disappoint! We rented this for a snow mobile trip and while the trails had not been in the best shape that week the lodge provided us with a great home base. The place is beautiful with plenty of space. We will be using this place again on our next trip.

Amazing location and view!

Great property with a great view of Lake Gogebic! If you snowmobile, boat or fish, it’s perfect, as you can access the property right off of the lake. Lots of room for everyone in the home!

Lake Gogebic Vacation

Great house in a private location with plenty of room for the family to spread out. House is steps away from the lake and great for swimming, boating, paddle boarding, fishing, etc. There is a restaurant (The Root Cellar) just down the road, but bring your groceries; there are limited options nearby (which host pointed out prior to or visit.)

Wedding central!

We tied the knot at Bond falls! This was the location we used for our siblings to stay with us and to get ready / do family meals. It was great! Very clean, and spacious. Beautiful master lost bedroom!!!!! (View of lake from bed) Would definitely recommend for families and get togethers up north!

Made the best of the winter

Our group of 10 snowmobilers dwindled down to 2 but we made the best of the trip. This house would have been perfect for our group if there was only snow. The owner was great to work with, plenty of parking and very clean! Hoping for snow next year!

Beautiful home on lake in secluded setting

Spent a week enjoying the privacy and serenity this home offered as we toured the various sites in the western U.P. At times the lack of air conditioning was an issue due to the very hot weather the week we were there and the many uncovered windows and doorwalls, but the lower level was always cool and the views through the windows were wonderful.

Nice place good location but walked in to a hole in the wall should of said something because there charging for something that was there so be careful make sure you check it over first and inform them

Trees block the incredible lake view, patio doors beautiful but taped shut

Beautiful lake frontage but over grown trees block the lake view from the deck and house- all the double patio doors were taped shut and could not be used- out of 5 deck doors only one could be used to access the deck and it was opposite of the kitchen area. Super odd. Also the oven did not heat up and the owner claimed they had plans for a fix prior to stay but it did not get fixed. Ice dispenser did not work in fridge door- ice trays all weekend. Toaster did not work and this was the first time I stayed at a VRBO that didn't have coffee at the location, which in the middle of Lake Gogebic isn't great. pretty disappointing overall - beautiful place - just needs so up keep and deep cleaning. Dead flies everywhere and dust under everything, dead bugs in lights on deck (inches deep). Huge house and bedrooms and living area were outstanding sizes for the group, just not really clean and a few disappointing things for the money.
