Step onto the deck to enjoy a fire or cook dinner on the bbq as hummingbirds fly around or a deer stops by for a visit. After hiking Cascade Pass or kayaking the level five rapids of the Cascade River, settle into the massage chair to work out tired muscles or a long soak in the tub. Intimate enough for two, spacious enough for the family!
Enter the house through the mud room and shed your layers before walking into the kitchen and open floor cabin layout. After you recover from the stunning view out of the large picture windows that line the back of the house, you will notice the work space/dining area with seating for two. We really enjoyed our stay here! The bed was very comfortable, the massage chair was a nice bonus and great after long days of hiking. The bathroom was a bit difficult to navigate as my husband who is 6'4" could bare fit into the shower without hitting his head on the ceiling, and the tub and toilet were elevated. I'm assuming there was some specific reason for the extreme elevation, maybe water pressure? Having a washer and dryer was very convenient, and the kitchen was stocked with any and every utensil you could possibly need. It is a very convenient place to stay if you want to get in and out of the North Cascades Park.
The property was charming and cozy. Easy access to North Cascades NP. I loved sipping coffee and enjoying the view from the huge windows in the living space. We had a mom and baby black tail deer hanging out in the backyard one evening and it seems like lots of other wildlife around. We felt like we were off grid and private but with all the amenities of a hot shower, full kitchen, tv, internet and soft bed to come back to after hiking. Very happy to have stayed here vs a hotel and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Upon arrival the cabin had not been cleaned. There was garbage from the previous renter, dirty laundry and dishes and the bed was unmade. I contacted the manager who came over while we went to dinner(which wasn't our plan)and they cleaned up and made the bed. It took about an hour to complete that task. I was promised a refund of cleaning and first night's rent which I have yet to receive. It was a quiet area although somewhat difficult to get to. Follow the directions to the letter to get there. Also if you are of a somewhat older age, difficulty with stairs or are stiff in your knee and hip joints; I would not recommend staying here. There are stairs up to the toilet and you must step over a rather tall tub to get in the shower. I think that with the holiday weekend that this cabin just wasn't a high priority for cleaning for the staff that was hired to do it. This is a beautiful area but I would probably not stay there again just because of those things listed.
