About this property
Improved in 2026. Private pool and brand new community pool! Easy walk to ocean.
This house is perfect for families or friends looking for peace, fun, and relaxation. There is a private pool, a newly finished community pool about 100 meters away, and a short walk down to the beach. There are multiple other beaches within a ten minute drive from the house. Marbella is known for world class surfing beaches.
Marbella is a quiet laid back town without the hustle and bustle; you will not find crowds of people. It is a gem off the beaten path. The only traffic jam you might encounter is with the brahman cows in the roads. Staying in Marbella is an authentic Costa Rican experience; this is not a touristy area.
La Casa de Tres Hermanas sleeps 8 people comfortably. If you are traveling with children you can fit 10 people. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a shower in each bathroom.
Activities close by include: surfing, deep sea fishing, horse-back riding, shelling, snorkeling tours, wildlife tours, Playa Ostional (sea turtle hatching). Even sitting at the house you can sometimes see and hear the howler monkeys and see all different beautiful birds flying by. The last time we were there a group of a dozen howler monkeys came to our yard and stayed in the trees for about an hour!
Case de tres hermanas is located right off Route 160, about 1 hour and 35 minutes from Liberia airport. There have been major improvements to the roads this year so getting to the house is a breeze. We find renting a car is the best way to get around.
Tamarindo and Nosara are two lively towns bustling with adventures and activities. Both of these towns are about a 45 minute drive.
La Casa de Tres Hermanas was finished in March of 2021. We started hosting guests in the summer of 2021 and slowly have been making improvements to the house for an optimal guest experience based on feedback we have received.
We feel so grateful to have this home in the town of Marbella. Please treat our neighbors and environment with respect and care. We would like to only bring peace to this area and hope ours guests feel the same way, too.

We loved staying here. The house was clean, plenty of room for 9 adults and a two year old, well stocked and close to wonderful beaches, great restaurants and things to do. It was nice to come home to an air conditioned house and refreshing pool after a day at the beach. We appreciated the use of boogie boards and beach towels provided. Beds were comfortable, WiFi and TV worked, and the view was amazing. We experienced the zip line and a chartered fishing trip, both within easy driving distance. We would definitely stay here again! Wish we could give it 10 stars!
The house is very spacious and modern. The kitchen is large and has ample seating; it is fairly well equipped, but could really use a chef's knife or two for prepping. Each bedroom is spacious and has plenty of storage space, also the bathrooms and showers are nice. The local beaches nearby are fabulous; one good for swimming the other for surfing. Smaller towns in the area; Juanillo and Nosara need to be accessed by SUV or sturdy car. The property is quite isolated, so if looking for some nightlife or shopping close by, not recommended. The pool is lovely for cooling down and swimming from morning to late evening and the deck has lots of seating and lounging areas. The downside of the deck is there is no covering for shade so it is too hot to relax and read or visit from about 1-5pm. The property manager Carlos is attentive and friendly, making any communication enjoyable.
A lovely house for a quiet and relaxing vacation, with a beautiful spot to watch the sunset every evening over the infinity pool. A lovely beach within walking distance.
The home is beautiful and well kept and, as advertised, the sunset view is fabulous. The walk to the beach and back up the hill was too challenging for me as an older person, especially in the heat, but anyone young and in shape will enjoy the beach very much, and you can drive at least part way if you have a car available. The small pool is very refreshing.
Don't make the same mistake I did. I confused the drawings of beds to mean that there were two beds plus a trundle in some of the rooms. But there was only one bed plus a trundle in those rooms. I was told there was a fold-down couch, but there was no AC in the space where it was so we couldn't use it. I had to rent a separate house for 3 of my guests. If you are mostly couples (or two people willing to share a queen bed) and have a couple of children with you on the trundles, you can fit 10 people in the four bedrooms. Otherwise, it is only workable for 7 single people who are not comfortable sharing a queen bed.
I hope to come back and will be better prepared for what to expect!
