Lack of proper communication about the breakfast cost. It was a buffet and the cost is very high 25 usd for what they serve and specially if you as me only wants to have a small breakfast. The hostess told me i was able to order a coffee and one bread and was surprised when I had to pay the buffet! Moreover, my room was super noisy and wasn't able to sleep at night. I did not receive any vip benefits which I was entitled to.

I asked for the free drinks that I was offered and had to wait 30 minutes for them to tell me that they had no ice. I was tired of waiting and hot. I was waiting outside and it was pretty hot. We were 4 people and they only gave us one key so we had to be together all the time otherwise in the room we had no electricity.

Front desk service here truly is terrible. People there do not seem to be happy about they they do. They’re doing a job and that’s about it. No smiles. No welcoming. Also, be aware that it can be very loud. While the location is great, there’s no access to the beach and it’s right in between a party hotel and a very loud mall…loud meaning loud music until 5:00 AM. I would advise bringing good earplugs (I use the wax ones).

Not a typical Wyndham. They did not honour our VIP status. Reception staff not friendly. The room was nice but you cannot sleep at all on weekends due to the street parties that apparently happen every Friday and Saturday. We were here on a Saturday and the extremely loud music started around 10pm and continued until 5:30am. We were on the 7th floor and felt like our room was in a nightclub. The hotel must let guests know this. It is completely unacceptable to except people to pay good money for that experience. The restaurant was decent for breakfast considering it’s included but selection was minimal.

The Executive Suite we rented was very nice, came with a jacuzzi tub which stopped working properly on the second day of our 2 day trip. But the room was great, no problem there. What I disliked was that I have asked the hotel 2 days prior to our arrival, to accommodate us with some flowers because of a birthday why we went there for the first place, and they said they could not! I did not ask it for free, but the fact that they could not arrange that in 2 days kind of blew my mind. That was very disappointing, but I have found a way in about 10 minutes to get some flowers from somewhere else for a loved one. Fortunately we checked in with the only receptionist who speaks English in the hotel, she was great. But a lot of things went wrong from sagging sofa, broken ironing board, not working refrigerator to not being able to provide me with a pen in the whole hotel! If I want to sum it up, our stay was about a 3 out of 5. For the price we paid there are better ones there.

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic stay at Manta Sail Plaza. Every one we talked to in the reseption talked good english, even the night shift. There where not many guest at the hotel so whe where uppgraded to a suite. The bed was wery soft and comfortable. Good curtains made the room realy dark, so we where able to get a looong good sleep. Every thing was clean and working. The undergound parking has room for many many cars, so no problem to park and then take the elevator up to our room. The pool area was clean and nice and we had a jacuzzie in our room. There is a smal shopping senter 150meter south of the hotel, but we drove 5 min. to Mall Del Paciffico, a big, new and modern mall. There are many modern restaurants close by, we asked in the reseption for a good restaurant that served beef, and where recomended Nacion Parrilla, a 5 minutes walk away, and yes, the beef was realy good. For breakfast there where tags with name on al the different dishes, how ever i dont speak spanish, (this is my first visit to a spanish speaking contry) and the information was only in spanish. On 75% of the tags it was room to write it in english as well. I hope they start writing it in english also. We, the guest wil be able to learn the names in spanish and the staff will learn the names in english I prefere soap and shampoo in bath room and shower, in despensers, not in paper. Easyer to use. more enwironmental friendly and saves the hotel $$. If i ever gett back to Manta i wil stay here again, lovedit
