Return to Paradise Resort and Spa

10/10 Excellent
"Really enjoyed our stay at Return to Paradise. We were allowed to check in slightly early once our room was ready. We were very lucky that we had a beach front view. The room was very spacious and the kitchen had everything you needed. The snorkelling on the reef was very good with lots of different fish and coral. Would have loved to have done the coral planting activity if we had more time. We attended the cultural fiafia night. The food was amazing and gave you the chance to try some samoan cuisine. The show was spectacular and definitely a must do. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to spending more time at Return to Paradise on our next trip"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Manono?
The best area to stay in Manono would be on the eastern side of the island, particularly around the villages of Lepuia'i and Faleu.

This side of Manono offers the most accessible and developed areas for visitors. You'll find the majority of the island's guesthouses and facilities here, providing a comfortable base for exploring. The coastline is generally calm and features sandy stretches great for swimming and sunbathing.

For couples seeking a quiet and romantic escape, staying in a beachfront fale (traditional Samoan hut) in Lepuia'i is ideal. These fales often open directly onto the sand, offering uninterrupted ocean views and a peaceful setting. You can spend your days relaxing by the water, snorkelling in the clear lagoons, or taking strolls along the shore.

Travellers looking for a relaxed, authentic experience will also appreciate Faleu. This village provides a glimpse into local life, with opportunities to observe traditional activities and interact with residents.
When is the best time to go to Manono?
The best time to visit Manono, Samoa, is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny days with lower humidity and less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and enjoying the island's natural beauty. The calmer seas also make boat transfers to and from Manono more comfortable and reliable. This period is superb for those looking to maximise their time enjoying the beaches and the relaxed pace of island life.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find these months particularly appealing. The pleasant weather allows for uninterrupted romantic walks along the coastline, snorkelling in the clear waters, and enjoying picturesque sunsets without the concern of sudden downpours. The drier conditions also mean clearer visibility for exploring the marine life around the island.

For families, the dry season offers the most comfortable conditions for children to play on the beaches and in the shallow waters. With less rain, there are more opportunities for exploring the island's paths and experiencing local village life without weather interruptions.
