Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late summer. Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. Guests are advised to check local road conditions/closures before travel with the California Department of Transportation at www.dot.ca.gov or by calling 800-427-7623.

Convict Lake Resort is absolutely gorgeous! We loved taking morning walks around the property. Our cabin was quaint and charming and we loved that it was so dog friendly!

The setting is amazing with the picturesque lake and mountains as a backdrop a short walk away. Cabins are nestled among aspen trees which were in full fall color. Take advantage of the first-class restaurant that is located at the resort.

Steel Head Cabin - Convict Lake Resort.
A beautiful complex. The only thing that would make it better would have been the air quality due to the fires in northern California. We reserved the Steeelhead Cabin through Hotels.com, which had the cabin listed as a Queen Bed Cabin. It is only a double bed, with one side pushed up against the wall. The Cabin is recently remodeld. However, we would have hoped to have had the Queen Bed stated in the description. Not the resorts fault. We ate dinner one night at the Resort Restaurant which was better than excellent in all respects. Worth the splurge! Walk to Convict Lake, and we saw several fisherman while we were there.
