Explore local caves, kayak, fish, hike, golf, or horseback ride by day, then soak under the stars at night! Enjoy the kind of calm you can’t get in a crowded cabin.
Clean, comfortable, and full of natural light, this spacious 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath retreat will be your new favorite home away from home. With a well-stocked kitchen, ample indoor and outdoor dining space, an open-air loft for room to sprawl, and a walkout basement outfitted with fun for the whole group, you'll have a hard time leaving the house to explore!
Bring your family and friends and enjoy the multi-level outdoor space; an expansive upper deck for lounging, grilling, and taking in the views of the rolling Kentucky hills and a lower patio with a relaxing hot tub, additional outdoor seating, as well as room to play ladderball or cornhole. The front lawn is perfect for tossing around a football, playing tag, or watching for the deer and bunnies that frequent our neighborhood.
Wind down at day's end around the cozy fire pit to recount your stories; just don't forget to bring fixings for s'mores!
While we encourage disconnecting and getting back to nature on your trip, we do have 300Mbps fiber internet at the house; a really nice upgrade for our area!
THE AREA
A Green River Ferry boat ride or scenic, meandering drive away from Mammoth Cave National Park, and located only a mile down the road from Nolin Lake State Park, Gather is the perfect launchpad to explore the surrounding area. It is located in a tucked away, peaceful neighborhood.
Mammoth Cave National Park is the WORLD'S LONGEST underground cave system and a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Be sure to book a tour before you go to learn about the history, geology, and exploration of the caves. The formations and history are absolutely incredible!
Nolin Lake State Park is just down the road and has a sandy beach with a dedicated swimming area in the summer, a no-fee boat ramp, bathrooms, and hiking and mountain biking trails at Brier Creek Recreation Area. Lake fishing includes bass, crappie, walleye, bluegill, trout and catfish; be sure to bring your poles and favorite bait! Special fishing regulations apply.

: : THE GOLDENROD ROOM : : QUEEN bedroom on main floor, decorated in the theme of the Kentucky state flower. A second full bathroom is located on this floor.
: : THE BLUE HERON ROOM : : QUEEN bedroom on main floor, decorated in soothing blue tones, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Blue Heron can be spotted locally around Nolin Lake, be sure to keep your eye out for them, especially at the Nolin Tailwater area!

EATING: Guests rave about our well-stocked kitchen with pots & pans, dishware, utensils, coffee bar with fixings, and more! Dishwasher detergent pods, dish soap, sponge, and starter rolls of paper towels provided. Dining table has room for 8. Saddle up to the counter for additional seating for 4 more.
RELAXING: Couches in main living area are conducive to settling down after a day of exploration, whether that is conversation, cards, or reading. A record player rounds out the area for some ambiance...feel free to bring along your favorites! Basement level offers a comfy couch for watching TV together and a seating area for board games. And don’t forget about the dueling arcade games and foosball table!
OUTSIDE: Large upper deck with outdoor dining set, lounge seating, and propane grill (propane is included with your stay!). Lower concrete patio with additional seating and relaxing HOT TUB.
A lighted path leads you to chairs around the fire pit. Firewood is available locally on your way in, the closest of which is Jake's Firewood right off of Brier Creek Road.
SECURITY: There are outdoor security cameras at the two main entrances to the house for security purposes only.
PARKING: Sloped and graveled neighborhood road & driveway — AWD/4WD highly recommended and preferred for easiest access and best experience. 4WD/AWD is REQUIRED in wet/snowy conditions. We had an unseasonably wet Summer 2026 (thank you, Super El Nino!) and some recent reviews mention difficulty on the neighborhood road; rest assured, our HOA graded and put down a new layer of gravel, so this has been addressed as of mid-August 2026.
When you get to the house, there is ample space for multiple cars on the driveway; please do not park on the lawn or on the neighborhood road. Garage itself is not available for parking. As noted in the house rules, trailers and motorcycles are not permitted.
Other Details to Note:
Groceries
We recommend bringing your main groceries in with you. This is a peaceful, rural area and we do not have big-box stores immediately nearby—it’s part of what makes it special!

Restaurants
Many local dining options are available. Check our Guidebook for current recommendations! Please note that some close during the winter months.
Important:
Edmonson County is dry. Alcohol is not sold locally, so please plan ahead and bring any with you. We like to stop at Liquor Barn in Bowling Green on our way in. Excellent KY bourbon selection!
Lake Access (Please Read!)
Dock access is not included nor available with this rental. This is due to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regulations, which apply to all homes on Nolin Lake—private docks may not be used by guests renting lake homes.
However, you’re just 1 mile from Nolin Lake State Park, where there’s a free public boat ramp for launching your own watercraft and a sandy beach with lake access in the summer.
Boat Rentals
The closest marinas for boat and jet ski rentals:
- Moutardier Marina – Newly renovated; closer by water - Wax Marina – Closest by land
Check their websites or social pages for rental info and seasonal hours.
Lake Levels & Wildlife
Nolin Lake is a seasonal reservoir, and water levels change throughout the year:
Summer (May–Oct): Full pool for swimming, boating, fishing
Winter (Nov–April): Low levels, often exposing the lakebed—a neat way to explore and treasure hunt, but not ideal for water activities
You’re in the Kentucky countryside, so it’s not uncommon to see deer, bunnies, birds, insects or critter. We use regular pest control to help minimize surprises.
A Few Country Comfort Notes
Life is slower out here—embrace it!
- Some restaurants have limited hours, particularly in the winter months - Cell signal may vary depending on your carrier
Whether you’re exploring underground wonders or unwinding with family games, Gather offers a cozy, adventure-ready base for your Cave Country getaway. Book your stay today and start making memories!

Gaby was a wonderful host. She was responsive and extremely helpful with all our questions. The cabin was spotless and exactly as described/pictured. It fit us and our kids perfectly. Great stay!
We had a wonderful time at the Serenity Cove Cabin. Super clean and the host was very accommodating to us. We enjoyed the amenities as well…hot tub, games, and spacious areas to relax outside and in. We even enjoyed the record player and listening to classic music. The location was beautiful and peaceful as well. We would definitely come back to stay if visiting the area.
The property was so cozy and quiet with all the amenities required for a wonderful weekend getaway! Host was response and helpful when needed. The home was clean and had great views!
Communication with Gaby was excellent, the place was SUPER clean, comfortable, and beautiful. I wish we could have stayed a little longer to enjoy the beautiful forest view.
Had an amazing girls weekends at this beautiful cabin! The host was amazing through booking and provided great information and reminders. The house is beautiful and so well maintained. Gorgeous fall views / days - Can’t wait to visit again!
We appreciated the consideration for families. There were plenty of games and enjoyable activities for the children. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the house was equipped with all the essentials we required. Gabby was wonderful to communicate with.
We absolutely loved our stay! The home and property are beautiful. Everything was thoughtfully done and made for an enjoyable place fo relax after spending a day in the National Park. We have four children ages 3-10 and they loved the games, books and outdoor area to run and play. The beds were all extremely comfortable. We will definitely plan fo come back here if we’re ever in the area again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
We wrapped up a 9 day road trip staying at this beautiful cabin in Mammoth. Beautiful area… very quiet, extremely comfortable. Everything was top notch about this cabin… from the view, fire pit, family game room, large porch, comfortable beds, and relaxing living area. Comfortably slept 8 of us. Very clean. Great Host…Will be back!
We loved our experience staying in this beautifully furnished home. The process was easy and the house was lovely. The host thought of everything, from board games and books, to plenty of space to sit outside, and great hot drink options (coffee, tea, etc). The furniture and furnishings are clean and high quality. The neighborhood has almost no traffic, so the birds are the only sounds outside. Highly recommend!
Our extended family greatly enjoyed staying at this beautiful, well-furnished home during our visit to the Mammoth Cave area. Gaby was a friendly and responsive host. Every attention was made to assure our needs were met. The home was extremely well-stocked with everything we needed, such as coffee, snacks, and kitchen basics. The descriptions of the property were completely accurate: it was sparkling clean with really comfortable beds! Thank you for helping us have a relaxing and memorable family vacation.
This property is easy to travel to, quiet and peaceful, and when you get there. It has new decorations and comforts of home that make the stay enjoyable and wish it was yours. Our group cooked a large dinner and there were plenty of amenities so we didn't run out of plates, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans. The grill was a big help too! Communication with the property owner has been fast when we have asked questions and needed information. I would recommend this location if you are looking for a quiet, quick getaway any time.
This property was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for our family get away where we explored several caves at Mammoth Cave National Park and enjoyed some time kayaking the Green River. This cabin welcomed us back after each adventure with a multitude of opportunities for any age. Our entire family LOVED staying here and we made so many memories. Thank you for offering such a great place to say!!!
We had a great time here! It’s perfectly located near Nolin Lake and Mammoth Cave. After a long day of seeing all the sites we enjoyed grilling out on the large deck and watching a family of deer each evening. Also, the hot tub came in handy. The place is in excellent condition and the host was available if needed for any questions.
The home is stunning. We had a few issues with grill and oven but otherwise the home was exactly as described internally. Host sent a sweet treat from the local baker for our troubles with appliances which was such a grand gesture! Location wise I wish I had realized how close all the neighbors were to left and in front. We knew the one home next door on right was really close but they actually were gone all weekend due to the holiday I suppose. Saturday and Sunday were noisy from people where we would have preferred serenity. You can hear everything people are talking about next door on other side of trees so I am sure they could hear us too. Crying and playing children, we counted 10, from across the road was not the landlords issue but holiday stays could be noisier and should be considered. Monday however was quiet after people left. Supplies like only two trash bags for 4 nights could be improved. We would recommend to others and stay again if we needed to while in the area.
Wonderful cabin in a peaceful setting. They really thought of all the details in this property. There were games, books, toys, etc. throughout the house and for outside, and the kitchen had everything you could need as far as cookware, dishes, utensils, etc. Slight concern about the pitch of the road over that one hill since it rained while we were there and we don't have a 4WD/AWD vehicle, but we did manage to go over it safely, in case others might wonder. Overall, would definitely book this cabin again.
