The room was very spacious and thoughtfully allocated although I would suggest upgrading the television to a smart tv for an executive room such as this. That was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in a long time for my back and neck issues. I was however very disappointed with the roof top. Namely because there’s a lot of open unused space that could be utilized as green space with plants and small trees to really liven up the vibe. The pool is outdated. I feel like they are missing an opportunity for a shared recreation area up there. It’s also kind of annoying to not be able to take the elevator all the way there. The view from the roof is beautiful at night though.. granted I found it strange that they offer for sale lovely hotel branded ashtrays yet none of them are at the tables and chairs on the roof to add an element of synergistic class. The surrounded neighborhood has several run down buildings listed for sale. There were also bags of garbage and cardboard boxes left in the hallway, which we felt posed a potential fire hazard. The room itself was not clean—the carpet was dirty, and we even found trash and lizard droppings on the walls. The bathtub had broken stone edges, making the room feel far from family-friendly. After raising these concerns with the reception, we were moved to a room in the newer block, which was noticeably better and cleaner. However, during breakfast, we were served lukewarm soup noodles. Uiteindelijk na veel discussie mochten we dan toch douchen aan het zwembad.
