Excellent B&B

Overall the B&B Galatea was very good value fof money. Breakfast was made fresh everyday and made by the owner. The room was clean. Excellent

Nice for a couple of nights but no longer

This is a small b&b run by a nice couple there are only 3 rooms and a small communal kitchen area where you have breakfast. + points Room modern and clean Cleaned everyday Well positioned Comfortable bed Air conditioning Good shower Small fridge in room. - points No kettle or tea/ coffee making facilities We used a pan to boil water for tea as we'd brought our own tea bags. Breakfast was continental. Croissants cakes etc quite limited choice. Ham and cheese toasty or boiled eggs (because I asked for them) it was the same every day and felt very awkward as Alfonso is in the kitchen serving you. It felt like you were in someone's home not what we wanted really. Also there is only room for 4 people to sit down at one time so if all 3 rooms wanted it at the same time they couldn't. Fresh fruit was left out but it wasn't great quality. Everything else was locked away. We had a problem with the air conditioning where ice formed and fell on us during the night. He got an engineer to look at it but the next night it dripped water on us so we moved rooms. Overall they are a nice friendly couple who try and do their best for you but the breakfast set up wasn't for us but if you don't mind that sort of thing then it's a nice place to stay.

Accogliente, pulito e silenzioso, perfetto come punto d’appoggio per chi ha voglia di girare perché è a due passi dal mare a dalle più belle località della costiera. Colazione buonissima e abbondante. Host molto gentili e disponibili per tutto! Consigliato vivamente!!

Exceptional location, Super friendly owners.

Very nice B&B, Owners were coming out of they way to make our stay comfortable. Delicious breakfast, super location. As a extra big bonus we got spot in the garage. Really important if you drive in Amalfi coast area. We had a great time and felt very welcome. Thank you Rita and Alfonzo!

B&B bien situé dans la ville, près des plages, de la station d'autobus et des restos. Chambre grande, propre et confortable. Le propriétaire est très sympathique et accommodant. Petit déjeuner simplissime

Lovely room just yards from the sea and beach

We picked this B&B based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The room is lovely, clean and modern and has all you need including lots of little touches like sweets in a bowl, shower caps etc. The bed is big and very comfortable. There is air-conditioning too. Breakfast was great, all you can eat, croissants, yoghurts, fruit and the owners made sure they gave us things they knew we liked, like toasted cheese and tea! The B&B is located in the centre of Maiori just yards from the lovely sea-front and beach. There is a supermarket round the corner which makes up yummy sandwiches which we ate while sitting on seats along the sea front. There is also a bus stop with buses going to Amalfi and from there you can to Positano, Sorrento, Ravello etc. All-day tickets cost only 8 euros and you can travel anywhere along the Amalfi Coast. We used buses to visit Amalfi and Positano. We also walked to Minori and up steps to Ravello (1000ft of constant climbing). Fabulous views!! We did lots of short walks around Maiori following walks from a free guide which was very interesting. The roads along the Amalfi coast are windy and 'interesting' to drive. Parking can be expensive (5 euros per hour) so we chose to use buses. Besides driving isn't for the feint-hearted! We were blessed with great weather so, all in all, our trip couldn't have been better.

schönes Zimmer im Zentrum

Bei dem B&B handelt es sich um eine Frühstückspension mit insgesamt 3 Zimmern. Zimmer war sehr sauber, zweckmäßig eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Jeden Tag Reinigung und Handtuchwechsel. Zum Frühstück gab es frisches Obst, Joghurt, frische Croissants, frischen Cappuccino, Cafe oder Espresso je nach Wunsch, Wasser, Säfte, frische Toasts je nach Wunsch, kleine verpackte Süssigkeiten, Marmelade und Nutella, alles völlig ausreichend für den Start in den Tag. Alfonso war sehr bemüht ,jeden individuell bedient und Tipps zur Umgebung gegeben. Zum Zimmer ein Garagenplatz. Die Bushaltestelle und der Ticketverkauf sind um die Ecke.
