"Lynda's accomodation is designed for both form and function. There's enough seating area outside for every type of weather. When it's sunny you can sit in front of the house or lie in the grass, when there's rain you can huddle inside or sit under the canopy. "We visited for a mini break in the first few days of 2026, looking for a peaceful location to consume the final cheese and port from Christmas and set up our intentions and plans for the year. The lodge is beautifully set on the site, and feels very luxurious. Underfloor heating and the hottub were invaluable as the snow arrived! A lovely location to explore Elan Valley and the dams, and the recommendation of The Crown Inn was spot on for lunch."

"We stayed in ‘Hedgehogs View’ for two nights, the location and view were second to none. The privacy of this specific accommodation was perfect as it’s at the top/back of the other ‘hobbit holes’ , so when using the hot tubs and walking around you’re not visible to anybody else. Our initial perspective was that the accommodation was beautiful , great facilities and well styled . Once we’d settled we noticed a lot of black mould spots in the main bedroom , above the bed area and dotted over the ceiling. The bed was extremely uncomfortable , with a very thin matress, the base of the bed being ply wood rather than slats/sprung slats which only accentuated the lack of thickness of the matress. A few little things that don’t work took the edge off the stay also, the bin lid didn’t work, and the mirrors that were supposed to light up in the bedroom/ bathroom didn’t. They stay gave us what we wanted/needed, being a space to relax with stunning views. But for the money I’m not sure I’d return as our sleep was very poor and the mould is something I feel should be addressed ASAP. As it is I’m unsure if I’d recommend based on the above comments."

"Parking is a bit of a squeeze but we did get a space although there is ample, easier parking at the library close by. We didn’t stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that. Initial receptionist (Easter Sunday) was okay but the receptionist on Easter Monday was friendly, informative and quite lovely which Sunday reception could maybe take a leaf from. Room was so airy, quiet and big so it was a shame to not have twin beds for our teens (who are big) and had to share a small sofa bed, in comparison mine and my husband’s bed was comfortable and big, very nice but felt a bit guilty. Luckily there was a little window area so my youngest son took over that area, pulling the net curtain to while my older son sat on the bed. Hotel exterior is so stunning and location is absolutely fabulous. I will return."
