"Room smelt musty and damp. Had not had a good clean in a long time. Bed was very hard, sleep was difficult. Restaurant was just a basic canteen with table cleaning poor. Clean cutlery and serviettes put on table with crumbs. Will certainly not be going back."

"Since it is a historic building there’s no control over temperature or any kind of air flow in the rooms without opening a window. Ceiling fans or some kind of thermostat would be helpful. But otherwise the property is spectacular and the staff very helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast as well!"

"I don’t remember seeing anything about having to park a distance from the lodge and therefore having to carry luggage in the rain up a hill. Also I had presumed electric was included but we had to put £1 coins in the meter. All the cutlery, some of the plates and pans were dirty"
