Maiden's Tower

I stayed here for four nights on a solo trip to İstanbul. The rooms were clean and fairly big. They did not have the newest tech, nor was I expecting it to, and the power will shut off when you're away from the room, so you might return to a much warmer room - the air conditioning also takes a while to cool the room. I was checked in my Mehmet and he told me about things that I could during my time in the city - thank you for that! He was also able to give me recommendation for dinner my first night there. The food was good albeit a bit pricey due to the area. Since then I found many other places with similar or better quality food that was significantly cheaper and also in the same area. I took the Havaist bus from the airport and walked to the hotel. It's a short walk but fairly steep uphill especially if you have baggage. The rooms were quiet for the most part. The two times it got loud was during the prayer calls and when the staff was working on the other rooms - the walls seemed like they were paper thin early in the mornings when the staff would be cleaning. Another issue I ran into was that I booked a room with a balcony but my room didn't have a balcony. I asked about it right after I checked in but was told that it was unavailable at the time even though I paid extra for it - so either don't expect to get a room with a balcony or demand a discount of some sort, which is something I should've done.

My room smelled very bad. Someone must’ve been smoking and the maintenance manager hadn’t checked the room. The location is excellent but the staff are far less than expected. They should have better personnel. The cleaning lady did a wonderful job and supplied us daily with all of the amenities that they offer. The spa was way below any Turkish standard. We nearly froze while waiting for the steam and foam bath. It was way overpriced and the service terrible. Don’t advise anyone to go there for a Turkish bath

Hotelli on helppo löytää ja siinä on viihtyisä aula sekä aamiaispaikka hotellin kattokerroksessa. Huone oli siisti ja tasokas, sekä myös hiljainen. Ilmastointi tehokas ja helposti säädettävissä. Huoneen tilavuus hyvä, eli ei tule ahdasta. Vuoteet olivat mukavia ja on hienoa, että on tarjolla myös kolmen hengen huoneitakin. Hotellin vieressä on pari hyvää ravintolaa, eli hotelliin saapumisen jälkeen on helppo käydä lounaalla tai illallisella. Hotellin respa oli lopulta joustava, vaikka vahingossa olin varannut varauksen vain yhdelle hengelle. Kaksi henkeä onnistui kuitenkin hyvin. Hotellia on helppo suositella ja hotellin hintakaan ei ole paha, varsinkaan jos kolmen hengen huoneessa jakaa hinnan kolmeen osaan matkaajien kesken.
