"A very old and tired hotel. Room had not been aired for a long time so smelled damp and musty - I had to open the window as soon as I entered the room. Old furniture, old and dilapidated bathroom / shower. Span and gym not available. Swimming pool available but costs €18 for a swim! I dont expect to pay as a guest of the hotel. Breakfast OK - coffee cold."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Quinta de Santiago. The location is good, peaceful yet not too far from shops and restaurants. The property is fantastic – large rooms with high quality furnishings and the 3 en-suite bedrooms were perfect for our group of 3 couples (beds super comfy too). The kitchen is well equipped and Ricardo, the host, was very generous leaving some provisions for us. Ricardo was responsive and helped us with many recommendations and reservations, as well as coming to our rescue when our car hire company let us down. Thank you!"

"Comfortable, plenty of space, clean, excellent host. It was a relaxing environment with excellent views, but the pool and games room meant there was plenty to do. We were on a stag do so relaxing have a bbq whilst gearing up for another night out in Porto helped. Also, great for families. "

"Hotel needs a serious upgrade / revamp, walls dirty and carpets worn and dirty.
Couch in room dirty; horrible mattresses and pillows; hair in beds; carpet stained, worn and dirty; walls marked and scuffed; kitchenette terrible - taps and sink dirty, extractor oily and smelly.
Not to mention the TV...
Breakfast limited and selected cappuccino from coffee machine and got a hot chocolate... 🙈

"I expected more to be honest especially for the prices. Ive used the spa facility before and that is brilliant but this was the first time staying. Lobby looks great but rooms need renovating. There was also a christmas party on one of the nights so music was quite loud and could be heard in the room thankfully it wasn't on till very late but still not what you expect when staying at a soundproof hotel. The spa hours are also restricted some days so we were unable to use the facilities during our stay. Other hotels have extended hours for guests and earlier opening times. "
