"Plenty parking and easy to find. Initial receptionist appeared a little uninterested upon arrival but all other staff were courteous, friendly, helpful. Breakfast is limited but does state “on the go” and matches perfectly; plenty of places nearby on the 190 to get a proper breakfast if wanted (especially the waffle house next door). Building is fine although a little dated in places but absolutely fine and comfortable "

"The Southern Hotel is a marvelous place to spend your time while traveling. It is a beautiful property which is well maintained and a staff that is friendly and efficient. Rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The restaurant and bar are very worth a visit with good atmosphere and very friendly staff. I recommend the Southern Hotel very highly."

"Room next door kept us up all night! Room was filthy, seen roaches, both rooms beside us had trash outside of doors. When you showered bathtub backed up. Hair in microwave. I believe some people are living in this motel. Seen a he/she prostitute. Front desk tried to get people next to us to be quiet after I called at 1am but they started yelling and slamming things again around 4am. Will never stay here again! "

"From the moment we checked into the moment, we checked out the entire hotel was absolutely horrible checking in with a headache. They had two women there carrying on a conversation and there was three people in front of me instead of them splitting up and checking out separate people they’d rather carry on the conversation and only one person was working then we got to the room. It was dirty then in the morning the breakfast is not ready. It said made to order you had to sit and wait and then they told me to go get my money back because they didn’t have enough food. We’ll never stay here again."

"Arrived after midnight it was storming. Both young ladies were very attentive. The staff was over the top friendly and had great suggestions on places to eat and do. Bed was comfortable room smelled clean. Wish room had a microwave.. but that is the only thing that I missed. Would stay there again."

"The hotel needs an upgrade. While the hotel was practically empty.. I was put on the 3rd floor. The gentleman desk clerk the first night was excellent. Extremely helpful and addressed everyone with a smile. The second night. The woman desk clerk was rude.. never asked if I needed anything… my keys had to be reprogrammed and she made me feel like I was bothering her. Not to mention she parked in the handicap parking space closest to the door. No handicap sticker or plate. And it was a rainy night. The bed was clean but worn. Shower was clean but disorganized?"
