Look no further than General's Quarters (207)! This 3-level home is just steps away from the Ohio River, Bicentennial Park and offers ideal access to festivals, shops, bars, and restaurants (all walking distance). With four bedrooms and 3.5 baths, this property can accommodate up to 10 guests for a comfortable and luxurious stay. Experience the comforts of home in this beautifully historic property. The house features four bedrooms, two of which are on the top level and each has a king-size bed and a private bathroom. The lower floor includes two queen-size bedrooms that share a full bathroom and a queen-size sofa bed on the main level with a half bath. Your stay at this property includes a range of complimentary amenities such as TVs in every bedroom, a 75" TV in the living room with access to Hulu and Netflix, and a welcome basket of snacks upon arrival. You can also enjoy a full kitchen equipped with a coffee bar (Keurig and Single Pot options), cooking pots and pans, utensils, serving plates, cutting boards, cooking oil, and spices, as well as a dishwasher with cleaning pods, trash bags, wash rags, and paper towels. For your personal care, the property also provides shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and lotion in personal sizes. Additionally, fast Wi-Fi and free, easy parking are available, making your stay even more enjoyable. To access the property, simply enter the code provided into the keypad located at both the front and back doors. The code will be sent to you on the day of your arrival and will be activated at 4 pm during check-in. Please note that the code will be deactivated at 11 am on the day of your check-out. We live just a short 5-minute ride away by golf cart, and we are always available to help you with any issues that may arise during your stay. You can walk out the door to - the river, festivals, bars, restaurants, the Heritage Trail, and more. You will need your car to get groceries up on the hill (8 min drive) - Kroger and Wal-Mart or to get to Clifty State Park. Downtown Madison is a great walking town or if you prefer you can rent a golf cart. Getting around is easy. There is also plenty of parking at General's Quarters - street and in the back (2 reserved spots). This multi-level home features three floors and two sets of stairs. The main level, located a few steps up outside, is on the street level. The home was very welcoming and a nice, happy place! They responded very quickly when the front door wouldn't unlock and resolved the issue without any difficulty. It has a great view of the river and a deck with shade which were delightful. The location is spectacular and there was plenty to do in town and by the river. We had everything we needed provided for us. There was very little work to do when we left which was great and different from some other places. We were a little surprised by how much we had to do stairs but I am sure it was good for us anyway! ##### Deborah D. The host was communicative and the process was very smooth and easy. We all agreed that we would stay here again and would recommend it to others. The location couldn't have been more convenient! The only small hiccup was that there didn't seem to be hot water on the lower level where the two queen bedrooms shared a bathroom. It was a hot day so the two downstairs guests didn't really seem to mind. We also had to turn on the ice maker and wait hours for the freezer to make ice. Very minor but it was a hot day in July. Madison is a cute little town with some great shops. We thoroughly enjoyed the view of the river from the porch and main room. Parking was very convenient and walking to downtown, the river and the Lanier house was very easy. It would be nice if the air conditioner was easier to work. We never could get the unit in the living room to turn off, so there was always a ‘breeze’ in that room. Because of that, my sister-in-law thought it would be nice if there had been a throw or two in the living room to snuggle under. My husband and I stayed in one of the bedrooms in the lower level. It was very comfortable but it would have been nice to have had a dresser down there. We all liked the towels in the bathroom and I really really appreciated your letting me use the washer and dryer in the next unit.
