"This hotel was a perfect landing spot for our family as we headed to the UP. It had some dated areas but the bathroom was updated. Includes a breakfast. Front staff was excellent - THANKS Trish for your awesome recommendations! My one complaint, the side doors headed into the hallways are never locked. Beautiful views of the lake and Mackinac Island though!"

"Our room really wasn't clean. Sticky spots on the floor, pepperoni behind the tv (?) cheerio on the floor. Could see things were spilled on the nightstand and not cleaned on the side. One bed had a flat sheet, blanket, then flat sheet again instead of flat sheet, blanket, comforter. There were no towels provided. No soap provided. The little shampoo and conditioner bottles provided were previously used. Water park had multiple broken water tubes causing the water to continuously be full blast. Overall, I wasn't expecting a lot based on reading previous reviews. It was fine for the weekend. I didn't love it but the staff was nice enough I would stay again if I needed."

"2 of the windows did not lock, screens were ripped or missing, host did not reply to 2 separate phone calls from VRBO and 2 others since then, there was a loose board at the entrance, the stove was gross, there was no bedroom door on one of the bedrooms, we couldn't figure out the heater (it ended up getting extremely hot before we did), there was no hot water. In addition, VRBO has refused our request for a full refund."
