"The place is nice, however, staff loudly making comments regarding a convicted..... I don't want to use the word here.....lets just say a "disgraced Financier" as the media would say. Laughing and using positive language like "celebrity p********e"..... I found it extremely disgusting. On challenging use of the language in earshot of guests the response was equally as outrageous. One staff member freely excused it, for a reason I do not want to mention on public review as it is not my place to share the reasoning they gave. The fact they thought any reason justified talking like this within earshot of guests is absolutely astounding. On reporting to proprietor I was met with a response of "OK so are you leaving then?" I then asked what his thoughts were on disgusting comments like this he said he will have to ask the staff if they actually said it. I respect the fact your first reaction is to protect staff, however, training on professionalism and standards is lacking.
